Why doesn't this feature work everytime you want to make a payment? Rather than every 24 hrs. Once I have used the pin code and made a payment I feel quite vulnerable for the next 24 hrs.

There is a setting where you can change that.

See How do I use the device lock on my Fitbit device? 

I personally feel safe without it because I know it gets locked any time I take it off, and it only works when on that screen and within an inch or two or sensor.

But it is safer to set it up.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I have done all the device lock but I would prefer it to lock each time I use fitbit pay. Otherwise it is open and can it be scammed by passers by?
