Is it possible to send it back to amazon ?

I bought my watch there too

I got my watch yesterday and it was all good until about midnight.  Then all failed.  I am patient but a little disappointed that all I have now is a watch that sits on my wrist.  I have no features available.  None!  I can't even scroll to see anything.  My watch displays "Clock error" and that's it.  The time is stuck at 0134 AM.

I am trying to wait to see what happens but you have to admit this is a little discouraging.

Well, you have more than I do.  lol  I wish I could get out of the "clock error" mode.  It won't even let me go to settings or restart.  NOTHING!!!  I was really hyped about being able to do all the stuff Fitbit claims with the Versa, but now I am rethinking my decision.  😞

I'm still being able to do all the stuff Fitbit claims with the Versa, except for downloading clock faces and apps. And when you bought yours today, that will mean that you can't do anything, because your Versa needs those broken servers to install clock faces and apps (and maybe the complete software?) in the first place. So... be patient. 😉

shouldn't have to be patient with a BRAND new $200 item.  it should work out of the box

Absolutely! But what i mean is that there's still reason to be patient, because when this is over there's still reason te be 'hyped about the stuff Fitbit claims with the Versa'. Only not for this moment.

But i agree this is something that shouldn't happen with a 'smart' watch. Spoiler alert: The Fitbit Versa is still more a fitness tracker with some smart functions, than a smartwatch with some fitness functions.

I am patient and have plenty of patience.  It's not about the fact that the watch has issues, I just can't do anything with the watch.

As I said in my other posts, I will wait to see what Fitbit can do.  Worst case, I return it and try something else.

Thank you for your input though.  Appreciated!!  🙂

My fault, didn't see the HUGE banner that states they were having issues : /

When do you think this will be resolved?

Yep!  We have the same issue/errors.  It was working ok last night except for the missing stuff like yours.  It was tracking my steps and water and then BAM!  nothing.  Everything stopped.  I did all the troubleshooting stuff but still nothing.  Then out of nowhere, the Clock error pops up and all came to a dead halt!!

No idea when they will or if they can fix it, but everyone on here is saying to "be patient/have patience", so I guess I will.  lol

Haha!!  I get that (and I quote)

"Spoiler alert: The Fitbit Versa is still more a fitness tracker with some smart functions, than a smartwatch with some fitness functions."

But (and a VERY BIG BUT), what good is a fitness tracker when you can't track even the time?  It is stuck on yesterday at 0134 in the morning.  hahahaha

Thank you for the boost of positivity though!!  I appreciate it!  😉

These watches should have a built-in, default clock face to fall back on in case of outages like this.  It should not disappear along with other things when there are broken server links or connectivity issues.  Saying a device at almost $300, being on the market for this long with functions that are contingent on server connection is ridiculous.  It isn't a virtual device.

Developers should also put in place settings/modes that work offline and meaningful error messages so end users can understand and not freak out thinking their device is defective all of a sudden.  I can understand things happen and support is there to work on it, but with a brand new, out of the box item having errors makes for a bad first impression.

This. Exactly this! How this device released without ANY fallback mechanism in place of such errors is beyond me. Why even have the "Clock Error" page display when instead they could have displayed a default clock face in it's place !?

I'm having trouble with getting notifications also and the gallery clock faces. Hope it gets resolved. I have a fitbit previously and have not had any troubles with notifications.
