The recent Fitbit App Update V3.37 does not work on my Samsung Galaxy Phone with Android 9; although Fitbit V3.36 worked fine on it until the update a few days ago. I tried many variations of the installation process including deleting caches, data, software setups, creating new accounts, factory restores. All with the same result, update failures with the time stuck from a point in the installation process and no sync.
This is a solution if you haven't done a factory restore. First turn off auto-update. Then roll back the software to the version that works Fitbit V3.36 from a backup on Samsung or Goggle Cloud or another device. If your Versa 2 Version is 35.70.721, this will work. If your Versa 2 got stuck in the update process and the Versa 2 version has updated, you may not be to get it to work with an Android 9 device.
I bought 2 Versa 2's a year ago. Now one is just a paper weight, at least until someone fixes the software.
