Purchased a versa lite for my daughter and the screen won’t clear or sync. Has a red x on the screen. Restarted and it’s still there.

I just got the Versa2 for Christmas today. After I finished setting in up, I got the red x. Your rest instructions did not help. This is frustrating.

Sitting here at work on lunch break for the THIRD DAY IN A ROW with a FitBit Versa having followed EVERY prescribed alleged "fix" for the RED X/Synch dilemma and nothing has availed whatsoever!  I've invested 4.5 man-hours on this most frustrating problem and am convinced now that this technology has many inherent flaws in design. I am a 40 year scientist/inventor with Fortune 50 companies in Fundamental & Exploratory R&D and know a poorly designed piece of technology when too many people are seeing the same issues. The DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis) was never properly assessed and calculated on this product.  I've only had mine for 6 months.  I changed the clock face after two weeks and have had nothing but shaky, jittery and unstable screens ever since.  The touch prompt on the apps freezes, can't transfer music and always had to continually re-synch the unit multiple times a day. My wife gave this to me as a B-day gift after I had serious pneumonia and had my heart affected so I was going to try and follow a regimented program for recovery by disciplined exercise and watching the stats and pulse and sleep response. I'd sleep for 6-8 hours and the unit would credit me for 1-2 hours!!! Needless to say, this Versa has done NOTHING for me and caused my blood pressure to go UP NOT DOWN!! Nothing but aggravation with this thing! Wish I could get my wife's hard-earned money back and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Hello Red X. I have been able to resolve my issues with a call to customer service. I had to go to settings to find the things I need to change from off to on. Now I can see what I need to see. I am basically interested in my heart rate and my sleep pattern. Now I can see both. I just wish the huge manual I printed from the web would have explained that. Life would have been much less frustrating.
Good luck.

Went on chat, this is what I was told to do & it worked:
1: Phone turn off Bluetooth, then back on
2: Phone Bluetooth forget Versa
3: Put watch in charging cradle, in Fitbit app set up new device. Follow instructions
Worked great. Hope this works for the rest of you

It’s great to be alive
