My Versa just quit on me. I have a new Versa 2 on its way. I want to replace the new Versa device, rather than adding it, when I set it up in the Fitbit App. I realize all data, history, etc. from my previous Versa will sync to the new device, but will all the apps sync/transfer also?
I think you will have to re-add the apps that are not automatically included, plus redo any modifications you have made, such as reordering the displays.
Best AnswerThanks! JohnnyRow. So I probably shouldn't delete my old device first (when setting up the new one) since I want to make sure I see all the apps that I had on the previous Versa to add to the new one....or will it all stay put in the Fitbit app whether I do a replace or add a new device? Ugh....hope I'm not making this more difficult than it is.
Best AnswerYou do the new one via 'Set up a Device'; if you have not removed the previous one, it will note you already have one in use and ask if you want to replace it - yes. It's straightforward.
The displays on the previous one should still work if they do now, but you might want to make notes of which apps you have added and which clock face you are using, just to be sure, though some of the apps and clock faces might not be same ones available on the two models.
Worst case, you get to experiment again, seeing which apps and clock faces you like.
The standard apps will all be there. How much more depends on whether you have downloaded many other apps.
I think you're right - I'll just make note of the apps; not many and some I rarely used. I'm just anxious to get back up and running. The old tracker is dead. I've been without it for five days -wore it 24/7- and think I have a week to wait for the new one to come in. I'm sure it will be an easy transition. Thanks again for your help : )
