So many problems with my Fitbit Versa

I have wanted a Fitbit Versa since it came out. I spent months trying to convince my husband that it would be a worthwhile purchase. I have had so many problems with my Fitbit versa that I wish I had never bought it. Here are a few issues that I have come across..

- My phone has not synced in almost 2 months.

- Does not track my sleeping habits

- Can not get my notifications to work

- I tried to download two apps when I got the watch and they still haven't installed

- My phone does not "light up on its own" (Meaning, I will turn my wrist to try and see the time and nothing happens)

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I have not been pleased with my purchase at all. There is a part of me that wishes I would have done more research on other fitness trackers. If anyone has any advice on how to fix any of the above issues, please let me know! I think the time has passed for me being able to return the watch.

I am having the same issues with my versa 2. I saved up for months to get mine and from day for it hasn't worked. I've done all their trouble shooting and emailed customer services plenty of times and each time they basically said to wait it out untill they fixed the bug. It's now 2 months later and the same issues are happening. Since I bought it online Fitbit store I don't even know how to get actual help. I feel like there is no proper way to make a complaint as customer service team just said to stay patient but at the end of the day the watch is £220 it would need to work from day one not however many months it's going to be before they fix it.

Hi,
I mailed my Versa to FitBit Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA. I wrote a
letter explaining how I tried to get assistance and all they would do is
send me another refurbished Versa that would break down a few months later.
I gave up and bought an Apple Watch Series 3 $199.00 USD at Walmart stores.
So far so good and it does way more that the Versa especially if you have
an iPhone.
Sorry to hear your story but it appears they don't really care about their
customers as no one contacted me after I mailed the product back to them.

exactly! It's just a parasite you pay for and waste time trying to make it work. You lose money, time and peace of mind. I want to break and burn mine. It keeps going out of sync and I have to unpair and pair it again -with heaven's help- doing all the tricks I can find on internet. I realize I resort to praying when dealing with fitbit. It's that unreliable and bad.

Hi I am having the same problems with my fitbit versa as well along with my battery draining in 1 day and not turning back on once I turn it off. I have called customer service so many times but unfortunately my warranty is up and would have to buy a new one, fitbit customer just gave me a 25% off my next fitbit but im not sure I want to buy another one... Customer service told me to factory reset my fitbit versa and I did that this morning and now it won't even turn on for me I looked at everyone reviews on different things to try and I did them all and nothing is working im so sad.

OK I'll be honest. Last time I had a problem  with my special edition fitbit versa was when I had a LG G5 for a phone. I bought the latest iPhone (11pro) two weeks ago and it works perfectly with fotbit. Everything works smoothly. It's day and night. I could barely pair my versa with my G5 but now it pairs easily and fast like it should. Stays connected forever and you turning your phone Bluetooth on and off doesn't make any problems for reconnecting with your fitbit. No problem so far. So I think maybe the phone also matters. Goes without saying that Apple watch is unbeatable. So buy that if you can.

Mine was working just fine until I downloaded the most recent update.  I used to have to recharge every 3-4 days, now I have to recharge every day and it might not recharge. Then I have to restart it and pray it charges again. I hope this doesn't turn in to apple, where you have to buy a new product every year, because their programming makes the old ones obsolete.

I totally agree with you, I am so disappointed in this fitbit versa crap product. You pay an arm and a leg for this **ahem**, and then you have to struggle with it to work every single day. I am disgusted with this watch. I feel I can shove it up someone's **ahem** right now. Syncing piece of **ahem**. Should've bought another Polar 200.

Thank you fitbit for ripping me off. 👍

Other than not syncing and battery draining, has anyone else had issues with "ghost" vibrations accompanied by a dim light up of the screen (without the actual screen showing time and waht not)? This has started with mine as well as with what seems to be resetting itself or turning on/off by itself. I will look at my watch and instead of the time it is the fitbit symbol. As if this wasn't annoying enough (causes my music to shut off during workouts when this happens), my screen will just stop working. In order to get it to work agian I have to manually shut it off my holding down all 3 buttons. But of course it only does it again within the next hour if not sooner.

I have had my fitbit versa for just over a year now, so no luck with the warranty. I haven't really had any other issues until fairly recently. I was hopeful this would be a good alternative for a smart watch compared to the apple watch (only because I don't have an iphone), but apparently not.

I have gone through 5-6 in the past year as well. I want to try a different brand device all together because I'm sick of them just constantly replacing the faulty watches! So irritating! I have had ones where the battery lasts less than 8 hours at a time, the touchscreen only works half the time, the touch screen doesn't respond at all, the heart rate tracker quit working, phone/text/email notifications quit working, etc. And its always a slightly different problem! What a pain!

This is my second fitbit to die out of warranty at 14 months, and the support is totally useless. Looking at the people who had to replace their fitbits 5-6 times within warranty tells me that the product quality is just garbage.

Never buying another fitbit again, and making sure all of my friends know about it.

All I can say, they are ripping us off.!! My fitbit is also useless to me,
also, just after a year. All they're saying is, "we are sorry to hear ". I
also struggle to get the screen to light up. Piece of crap.

Hi,
I had a first Versa fail and sent it back and got a refurbished one. It
also failed and there was no way to get a refund as I bought it at BestBuy,
not from Fitbit. No one helped me. I've had an Apple watch for 8 months
with no problems. I have an Iphone so it is nice to have a mirror of it on
my wrist. Just look around, everyone has an Apple watch on, not a Fitbit
Versa. That's enough of an endorsement. Good luck!

Mine was doing this same thing for weeks. It would light up with the Fitbit icon, vibrate, and the screen would go black and then take a while for watch face to go back on. Eventually I had enough and tried shutting it down to see if that would fix it which it didn’t so then I tried a factory reset and it never turned back on. I contacted customer service and luckily I’m within my year warranty and they sent a replacement request. Since they no longer have the Fitbit Versa they are sending me the Fitbit Versa 2. I’m hoping it’s better than the Versa.

I just got the versa 2. So far it's much better than the original versa.

Mine is a Versa 2 and operated well for a little while, although the sleep data was a bit eratic - working sometimes; other times not.  Now the watch works ok but it doesn't sync.  I have tried all the suggested processes to get it back on track including uninstalling and reinstalling the app; restarting the watch; etc.  But now Bluetooth doesn't even recognise the watch in the search so obviously won't connect!  I am so very much frustrated and disappointed.  Any ideas as to why this has happened, and how it can be fixed?  Is it a bug from an update perhaps?  (Which will eventually be fixed.)  Or what?

I literally had exactly the same thing happen to my versa last night. It was having problems syncing all day yesterday. The battery was low so when I go in I charged it till 100% and then tried to sync again but still no joy so I turned it off and now it won't turn back on. This is my 2nd versa because my 1st one had the screen of death last year after having it only a year.

Unfortunately I have an update for you. Yesterday I noticed that the time on the Fitbit was out - 10 minutes slow. So I thought the only way I could adjust this would be to do the one thing I hadn't done to date - do a factory reset. Followed the instructions on the 'net including how to turn it back on. But all to no avail. Now the Fitbit has died. Won't start; won't charge; and only shows a black face.
In looking at the box it came in, I need to correct info I gave on the last post and that is that it is not a Versa 2 but a Special Edition Versa.
Hopefully your experience will be better than mine.

Thanks for that. I checked, and mine is the original Versa, Special Edition, not the Versa 2 which I thought it was. So hopefully your experience will be better than mine. My Versa has now completely died after doing a factory reset in an effort to adjust the time which was out. The factory reset was the only thing I hadn't tried in my efforts to get it to sync, and I couldn't work out any other way to adjust the time. Now I can't get it to respond at all. All in all, a very sad experience.
Good luck.

I hear you and does it not get you absolutely frustrated? The whole Versa experience has been irritating, frustrating, anger comes to mind. And, now they’re infiltrating the watch with an abundance (data overload). How about putting out a GREAT PRODUCT without the flaws (and I experienced many), sometimes, as the say, “less is more.” Battery life is short as heck. Having to re-sync every time, having to sign in to my account daily is ONE OF MY BIGGEST PET PIEVES. AAAACCCCKKKKKK! Most importantly, the lack of knowledge their ‘support staff’ have is flooring, Never the less and wouldn’t it be great if Fitbit/Versa innovators and employees would read some of these reviews, fix the many, many problems it has and quite trying to keep up with Apple products. Apple runs like a well oiled machine. Fitbit (for me, personally, has been a huge let down. PATRICIA

Yes.  Very sad and frustrating.  And I agree with your query: Where are the fitbit technicians to respond to and address the important issues raised through this Website?  Do they read these contributions?  It doesn't look like it.

It's a pity, because the Fitbit could be such a fabulous product if it worked as promised.
