If your SpO2 is really under 80% you're in a world of hurt.

Seriously? You're doing this every night? Nobody's going to do that. (But thanks for the tip, lol)

I'm trying to troubleshoot cause of the issue. Thanks for the tip, lol.

Good luck. I had a sound 6h+ sleep on Wednesday night evidenced by 87 sleep score and an SPo2 variation trace, but never got a SPo2 result on the watch. Last night a good 8h total sleep but no sleep score and no SPo2 variation on the app, but, lo & behold, a sensible SPo2 average & range on my watch accredited to my Thursday sleep. (I doubt if any other technology can offer such a cost effective random generator.)

Funny ‘peculiar’ for Versa 2 users in our predicament; funny ‘haha’ for everyone else?
We have here a device designed to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle which through a clever sleep monitoring feature. Unfortunately for me the probability (now >50%) of starting the day by either failing to get a SPo2 reading or getting an SPo2 reading that is too low for computation is inducing stress that interferes with my sleep quality. Observation affects the measurement. Schrodinger’s Cat?

Well said, observation affects the outcome. Add to that, the fact my cat turned out dead >50% of time! I don't like this outcome. I would say funny for consumer expectations, and the stress associated.

I have had SP02 readings recorded 2 out of 8 or 9 nights. I have tried correlating with sleep scores etc and see nothing. In fact the two nights that recorded my sleep score was below 75. So the SP02 function is badly broken on my Versa 2. Pretty poor implementation of a "feature" that also uses more battery and requires you to recharge your phone more frequently.

In last 15 days, I got readings 6 times on versa 2. Ofcourse, something needs a fix from fitbit.

Having the same issue I guess they are not going to fix it or even acknowledge that we are having issues.

Thank you Lilly. Unfortunately it is October 15th and I am having the same issues that people were describing three weeks ago. First week owning the Versa 2 the SpO2 worked every night. Now I have gone three nights in a row with no working SpO2. Have tried the tight fit and the loose fit etc. I got mine beginning of October and did the firmware update at that time. Suggestions? ( By the way, I cancelled my pre-order for a Sense and got the V2 because of contrasting reviews for the two products. )

The app does not know that you go to the bathroom. It fragments your sleep hours.

Even if it fragments. It needs one 3-hour window of uninterrupted sleep. But it fails to do even that. Screenshot of a sleep session with no spo2 reading in the morning.

I can't rely Spo2 app. I'm not using it any more. it's not dependable.

Guys, better dump the fitbit idea. I got a finger oxymeter, works everytime, doctors recommend. 😉

I guess I am short tempered cause I gave up on it some time ago. I found that I just don't sleep for three hours at a time. Matter of fact, I found that I sleep better when I don't wear the Versa to bed.....

Thank you for this! I installed the latest firmware and the clock face last night and was so disappointed to not have seen anything this morning. But it all makes sense now since I move a lot in my sleep and I only had 4 hours of very crappy sleep last night! Thanks again!

Same experience - the Fitbit Ionic and Versa have the same problem - close to worthless at Spo2 tracking

I wasn't getting spo2 readings for many days but for last 3 days they are showing. I am painstakingly uninstalling the clock face, then restarting device, then reinstalling.
This indicates there may be a caching problem somewhere in the app or the device for the clock face.
Disappointed any which way!

I’ve had a pretty good ‘hit’ rate recently and reckon the ‘misses’ correspond to instances when I failed to achieve the minimal period required to record an SPo2 result. ‘Sweet dreams” ... may be the answer 🛌

I have had the clock face on my Ionic for about a month now and have gotten a reading maybe 5-6 times. I average 7 hours of sleep a night and still can’t get consistent readings. If this function is so sensitive to movement then it is basically worthless.
this morning after 6 hrs 57 minutes and a sleep score of 67 it tells me “ sleep to update”
