Hello

I see this topic is around a year old, But need to start somewhere, and I see your answer is marked as Best Answer here.

There are a few more topics, and sadly I can't find any good solution.

I have this issue for a couple day. Also, my watch is less than a week old.

Yesterday I had a 3 hours nap, and it was showing me sleep for update, and today it's showing recording spo2

I can see a full record and all Spo2 information on my phone, and it seems correct.

So it seems the application on the phone is fine and can't be because of watch's movements during the sleep.

Reboot + Changing Faceclock did not fix the issue and if I take off the watch it will change to Sleep for update.

Can I get help from you here?

Thank you.

I don't experience the same problem as you so I can't help.  Sorry abt it. You  can call Fitbit directly, the rep will work with you to fix the problem while you are on the phone.

Just an upd.  Since my reset,  my watch is working fine,  no hickup  😬

After several months of satisfactory operation with the procedure I had described previously, a few days ago it all suddenly went wrong for me with my Versa 2. Recorded only ~1h30m sleep tonight, so no SPo2 result and even stopped showing Versa 2 battery level on the Fitbit app. So it is difficult for me to advise. After a few attempts factory reset (settings/about/reset) on the Versa 2 and removing /adding the Versa 2 (& clock faces) at the Fitbit app on the phone I got 1 night 66 sleep score & 91% SPo2, next night was 85 sleep & no SPo2 (& probably could be <89%). All I can suggest is a combination of persevere with my procedure and removing/adding Versa 2 + clock faces on the Fitbit app. It’s not ideal but syncing then rebooting (holding down the button on the Versa 2 until the Fitbit logo reappears on the watch did the trick for me consistently each night for several months achieving periods of >3.5h sleep.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback people.   After several goes at updating SpO2 app the date and version number has not changed but the watch sort of gives data.   Its all very hit and miss and I've run out of patience with the thing.

I have pretty much ran out of patience too a long time ago. Very hit and miss if I get reading or not.

My SpO2 has not worked or shown up at all in the month I have had the watch. All the other health stuff works but nothing shows up for oxygen saturation on my watch and on the app there is no info or charts showing. Y’all say to download a clockmaker but that mean nothing to me, nor do I have a clue how to do that. This should work by syncing I should not have to download anything. Getting ready to move to a different smartwartch. Tired of Fitbit not doing what it is supposed to.

Hey,

You need a SpO2 Clock face. (one that shows Spo2 on your watch screen).

1-Always make sure your Fitbit app is up-to-date (Google Play Store).

2- Open your Fitbit app on your phone. Select your Profile icon in the top left corner and then select your watch. (exp: Versa 3)

3- Select Gallery and check if there is any Spo2 clock faces under your clocks (My Clocks) if not then select discover more or clocks on top and scroll down until you find Spo2. Select one of them and install it with a full Permission.

(You may already have installed one of them on your watch, but if you don't give the clock face a full permission, it will not work.)

To fix this issue go back to your gallery find that clock face you are using, or you want to use, for example: SpO2 Stack > see all details > Permission> Select All.

4- once setup, You need a minimum of 3 hours sleep. Also, It will take around an hour after you are awake to process and calculate your information and sync to your phone. Otherwise, your watch will show an error like can't read or etc.

You will find your oxygen saturation (SpO2) graph under health Metric on your Fitbit main page.

Let me know if you have any questions.

My SP02 has not registered data o  my Fitbit Versa for nearly a week now. I have had my watch since last year so I'm fully aware how to use it. My husbands Versa is also not registering his SP02

Didn’t work. I’ve tried restarting. It comes on & goes off again regardless where it’s placed on wrist or tightness all day long.

My versa 2 also has the clock face installed, but have only SpO2 reading for one night, then got the same message "couldn't read SpO2" on the clock face. Could anyone please advise me how to fix it?  Thanks.

Spo2 worked from day one.  Recently SPO2 does not show on Sense SPO2 main watch screen or Android app.

DOES show in Watch weekly summary. But again, not in Android app.

Did watch shutdown and restart.

Same result.

I had similar issue with Charge 5.  Solution for me was to to uninstall the SPO2 app using on my mobile device then re install.  Started to work immediately.

Hi Juan,

I have the same issue with my versa 2. It's not showing the spo2 info. I wore it last night tight and higher up on the wrist. But still nothing today.

Do you have to have premium for it to work?

Thanks Kirsty

Hi KirstyJT.

No, you don't need premium for this to work.

I've been reading through a lot of the posts over the last 2 years and this sure seems to be a common problem with the Versa 2 and 3 devices.

I just bought my Versa 3 a few days ago and also ran into this problem.

I used the SpO2 face suggested as well as wear the watch in the proper position.

For the first 2 nights, it work fine, but last night, it did not.

None of the suggestions worked for me.  I tried everything including changing faces back and forth as well as many Sync to the Android app..

BUT.................

There's an app called "Sys Info" (little icon with blue background and white insert).

I had installed that on day one.

So I ran that to check sensors and everything passed.

BUT HERE'S THE THING.... immediately after running this sensor test, SpO2 SHOWS A NUMBER NOW!  No sleep required!!!

I sync'd the V3 with the FitBit Android app and the new reading was there!

So now, if it happens again where SpO2 doesn't show up or the face just shows --% (as it did today) I'll run the sensors test and see if that triggers it.

I'm also going to run the sensors test a few times in the day to see if that number changes.

As a Computer Professional (and programmer) I suspect that the sensor, if triggered, should work at any time, NOT JUST AT NIGHT!

This is actually one of the disappointments with this expensive watch, that it only records SpO2 at night and not at any time we want.

I have another watch, very cheap ($35) that I don't like so much, but I just have to go to the SpO2 screen and it checks Oxygen every time.

FitBit always seems to have some bugs in their danged software.  I had a Versa Lite, which I liked, but it was so buggy I wanted to spray it with Raid. LOL

Anyway, try the Sys Info app with Sensors Test and see if that gets it going.

Hope that helps.
