Spotify Fitbit keeps logging me out

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi

I have a Fitbit versa 2 and a Google pixel 3xl. I have connected Spotify to my phone with my Fitbit and it all works fine but the Fitbit app logs me out of Spotify after a couple of hours. And  I have to keep logging in Everytime. Why does this happen? Does the Fitbit app not refresh the auth token with Spotify please help.

Same thing happens to me and it is very frustrating.  I have to log back in multiple times a day.  And the login screen for Spotify is terrible.  I have to tap it about 10 times before I can login!  If Fitbit is going to allow third party user apps, then make sure everything works.

Every word he said.

Same thing is happening to me. I get logged out basically every 20 mins... ☹️

I have the versa and I'm having the same problem. It's very frustrating. Just hope fitbit sort it out.

Same thing here, Pixel 3 w/Versa 2 will log me out if I don't use Spotify for about 20 minutes or so. I'm a bit sad about this, as it was honestly the number 1 reason I bought this device. I've since really come to enjoy the health tracking features, and very much want to keep the device, but if the main reason I bought it is this broken, I'm not sure it's worth it. I have just taken to using my phone for Spotify, as using my Versa 2 will usually take 5x the time, and I'll have to pull out my phone anyway to sync, reconnect Bluetooth, reboot the watch etc.

fixes yet?

Same thing happens to me  Fitbit switches my spotify to the free version and tells me I must have a premium acct, which I do. I then have to relog in with my spotify premium info.

Identical issue. Really makes the versa more of a hassle than a convenience.

Yeah, this is happening to me too. I had hoped it would work seamlessly, but no..

I have a Samsung s9 and I have to login to spotify everytime before I can connect from my watch. This is very annoying, like an extra step every time

Same here. Have a Versa 2, and a premium account. I'll go to Spotify on the watch and nothing works. I then have to go in to the app on the phone, log out & log back in. Then it works.

This crap really gets annoying & really needs fixed ASAP.

Galaxy S8, and exactly the same issues for me

Galaxy S9+ with a Versa 2 same issue. I have to use my phone to go to Apps, Spotify,  where I'm told I have Spotify Free (I don't; I have premium and have previously logged in). To be able to use Spotify again I have to then log out, click log in, and agree to terms. Then my Fitbit once again recognizes my Spotify Premium status and I can use it again (for now).

Annoying is an understatement. I screwed around with this app & synching
earlier in the week for nearly 5min. Force closed the Fitbit app, re-logged
in Spotify, etc etc
I FINALLY got it to work by restarting the watch. It's got serious issues
on more than one level and not just the log in issue. I was logged in at
one point and no matter what I did, it wouldn't work with my Versa 2. I
also partially blame Fitbit and their crappy firmware and synch issues.
