Since the latest upgrade on the fitbit app, my Galaxy S9 will not sync.  All I get is "Device Not Found".  Is there a solution to this?

Well,

I am surprised that the issue is still not resolved. Only reason why I bought fitbit Versa2 was to track my sleep. When I get up, I want to sync and see how much I slept. But no... everyday it has issue. I am sick of it and very-very disappointed.

I wish, instead of this bluetooth, they would have given a simple USB cable, to sync. But No!,

Can't emphasize enough, how frustrating it is, every morning. Well, I am giving up now. Will see if I could return this stupid device.

Hey, restarting the watch worked! Long tap the left button: it will show shortcuts but still keep it pressed, and it will shutdown. Then restart it by pressing the button once.

That is something I can do everyday,

My wife's Versa 2 had exactly the same problem, 'device not found' for the last 8 days.  We solved the problem by going for a Garmin Vivomove 3s instead.  No problems with syncing, all bluetooth phones are compatible and she gets pulse ox and Vo2 readings to boot.

Hello @aknirala

Since in our family we don't have such problem can you let us know what mobile phone you use? We might be able to understand better and, if possible, help you.

I use a LG V20. I recently got gasoline on my watch band (not the watch itself) so I've not been wearing it for a few days until it stops smelling so strong. I've just been wearing my G-Shock. It's so nice wearing a watch I don't have to restart multiple times a day just to work properly. I'm not really missing the Fitbit data right now. I'm very disappointed in Fitbit products and their support.

Hi everybody, nice to see you around. Thank you for all the steps that you've tried to fix this syncing issues with your Fitbit Versa.

One of the first things we need to confirm is if your phone/tablet is a supported device, meaning that the Fitbit app hasn't been optimized to work flawlessly with this model. Before to troubleshoot your phone, unpair any device you have connected on the Bluetooth settings.

While you've tried some steps, please give a try to the following troubleshooting in the given order.

  1. Remove your Flitbit from the Bluetooth settings in your phone/tablet.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth from any other phone, tablet and computer aside of your phone.
  3. Verify that the location services are enabled if you're using a Android device
  4. On your phone's settings, tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache. (For Android device)
  5. Go back to the previous screen, tap force stop and reboot your phone one more time.
  6. Open the Fitbit app, tap the Account/profile icon > setup a device.
  7. Choose your Fitbit, select the option to replace and follow the onscreen instructions.

You will find more troubleshooting steps here: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Yojana FB I did everything you suggested and it still searching for my device when I attempted to re-add it to my BT.  There were 3 options in the instructions if having problems connecting and I followed all of them.  Did not work.

Depending on what type of phone you have, there may be a limit to how many items you can have on BT.  We discovered this with my husbands phone.  You may try removing some of the items from BT, if there aren't being used, and then try adding again.

I followed your instructions exactly as you outlined.  I cannot get my Iphone or my computer to locate my Versa to add it back.  This is so frustrating... any more ideas? 😞  Thanks!!!

I am so sorry.  The only other thing, and you may have already tried this, is to do a factory reset on your Versa.  You may want to check with fitbit first, as I don't know if it will do anything else to your watch.  They had me try that with my Ionic one time (yes, I have an Ionic also), and it killed it completely.  I had to send it in to have it replaced.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Judi.  Agree that is the last step.  I searched the forums for factory reset and so many said they lost their FB completely that I opted to post again in the event I missed something.  I am amazed having read all the other posts with these issues that not more has been done.  If this device isn't fixed I will replace it but why on earth would I buy another Versa knowing the issue is still out there?  Again thanks!!!

Update.  Did the factory reset and as instructed opened up the FB app.... same thing - device not found.  Tried on both my Iphone and my PC.  Called customer service and they said I had done everything possible.... it's a goner.  😞

Sorry to hear that. May be devices were not compatible.

Luckily for me, sync issue is managable now. On fitbit i went to settings (tap left button then swipe right to left, couple of times to go to settings app) there i scrolled to Bluetooth and turned on the music control to on.

Then connected my phone to it. Tried syncing and it worked. But next day it again failed. So i tried the same process again, but it failed. So i restarted my fitbit and it synced. But next day simple restart didn't worked, lolz. So i tried all, then had to restart my phone and fitbit twiceand it worked.

Now that my fitbit is no longer new, i do not always want to check my sleep score as soon as i get up. I do it later during the noon. By that time it automatically syncs it. Perhaps it had something to do with very good wifi connection at my workplace.

Anyways if the device has never synced once then perhaps it is compatibility issue (and bad luck), but if it had synced even once then there should be a way to make it work.  Having said that syncing should be made much easier.

I agree totally.  It seems that syncing has been an issue with both of the Versa's and the Ionic.  The tech group s/b looking into the issue.

Thanks but this device was 2 yrs old.  I had to reset it as if it was new.  Worked fine, no issues until one day at 6:30 am it did one last sync.... as I was drinking coffee 🙂  Only thing I can think of is an automatic update affected it.

Weird thing is after my last post when they told me nothing could be done I tried it "one more time" and low and behold my Versa was recognized as a new device, I got the 4 digit code to add it back to my account... that's the good news.  Bad news is that it still couldn't find my network using my Iphone...

So I tried my FB app on my Windows 10 pc.  I was able to pair my FB to my pc.  But still the device didn't pick up my network.  I even set up a 2nd network to see if that would work. 🙂

I read enough here and on other sites including numerous YouTube videos to know that this problem exists with not only the Versa but the Versa 2 and Ionic.  Agree that the technical folks not only need to be figuring out a solution but those poor people who take our phone calls knowing that there are no sure fixes yet can only offer 25% off another device.

It's sad because I have been very happy with the device and company but now wonder about their commitment to quality.

have you tried to remove the Versa from the app, uninstall and reinstall the app and then add the Versa back again?  After I did this syncing started working properly again.

Thank you but sadly yes I did remove the Versa from the app.  When I did that I could not reload it.  After about 20 tries I successfully added the Versa as if it were a new device but I have tried about 50 times unsuccessfully to connect it to wifi.  I tried both Iphone and Window 10 pc.  I also tried using a USB connection from FB to the pc as suggested by their help desk.  I have spoken to them 4 times.  😞
