Unlock Versa 2 without phone

I purchased a Used Fitbit Versa 2, that needs unlocked by phone. I have no way of getting a hold of seller for assistance. Is there anyway to hard reset the watch so that I can connect to my phone?

Thank you for sharing that the Versa 2 you purchased needs to be unlocked by phone. Since you're unable to do that, I recommend doing a factory reset: 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset. 

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Help, I’ve tried this and now my watch says ‘data not cleared sync and try again’ with a Red Cross. I can’t sync because it’s no longer connected to my phone!

If you get a Red Cross on a tomtom, that the memory module is broken and he's not more bearable, suspect that this is the case with the fittit a Red Cross.
Hopefully guarantee...

Hi, I have the same issue with the Red Cross on the screen. How can I fix the issue so I can use my Fitbit I just purchased?

As I wrote when you get a Red Cross, it often shows that memory is broken and no longer works.
So presumably dead is

You just need to delete all Bluetooth connections to the device. Reset your app and you can get it to work again. Mine works perfectly now.

Hi, I have a versa 2 that has a locked screen that needs to be unlocked with a phone. Whilst trying to fix, I have deleted from my phone and need to read it, but can’t as I can’t see the verification code on screen because of the locked screen. I have tried a factory and hard reset but not working

Hi, Yes I had to do the factory reset steps and that did it for me. My
device has been working as usual for about 2-3 weeks.

Hi I have tried suggested does not work. I have the unlock with phone on screen no fitbit logo shows until I have shut the watch down please help

Yeah what you need to do is switch of your watch keep your finger on the button the fitbit logo will come on release button and press again to switch of then switch on again. It took me lots of attempts but got there in the end. Good luck! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Hi Friends, 

 

I decided to contact the Fitbit support team and have them guide me through the reset process. Despite many attempts, my device still fail to restart as I cannot access it without keying in the 4-digit code. 

The customer support officer deemed that the device is faulty and has kindly arranged for a 1-1 replacement - which I’ve received. 

You may want to do the same and get in touch with their support team to see how best they can assist you.
