Versa 2 GPS disconnects after notification

Is anyone else having a problem with GPS tracing disconnecting during a workout? Every time I track a walk as a workout and use my phone's GPS, I loose connection as soon as I get a notification. There is no way to regain the connection without restarting my phone. Super annoying to do during a workout. Also annoying to turn off notifications and have to go back and add all of them back after a workout. I have tried all AVRCP versions. Phone is LG G6 (supported device), Andriod 8.0, Fitbit app and tracker up to date. I also have had a terrible time trying to keep this thing synced, if I leave my phone on the charger and leave Bluetooth range Bluetooth has to be turned off and on again before the tracker is recognized. Before anyone tells me to go through all the "regular" troubleshooting steps, please know that I have... many times. I'm just wondering if anyone has found an actual fix for any of these issues or if I'm the only one experiencing them.

I had this yesterday but on Versa1.  It paused Manchester 1/2 marathon 'lost 3 miles data' and when I pressed start button the **ahem**ed thing 'oh I swore out loud & at it as it did so' it reset itself back to home screen meaning it split the 1/2 marathon into 2 segments of 6 & 4 miles. Result was me buying a Garmin Forerunner 245 this morning. You can only take so many errors & fekups FitBit!

Yeah, it seems like this is a silly oversight somewhere. I have used other devices that use my phone's GPS and never had a problem. Almost feels like a weak/broken Bluetooth connection. I've never experienced so many problems with Bluetooth connectivity! Did you have a notification that knocked your GPS out or was it a spontaneous disconnection?

@SydneyB006  I don't know what caused it to pause as I already knew about notifications being an issue so I had already disabled them all.

I don't use any of the features.  Just the tracker 'as designed' to record my activities.

I think that is the issue.  It is too complicated 'over engineered' for its own good & now too far off its design spec of being a fitness tracker.

Has the Versa become more & more like a day to day planner & personal organiser?

I feel it has. Why it had to go.
