Versa 2 Notifications Missing from Device

My notifications (and vibration) stopped working on my device. They still work for alarms and activity updates. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone and device, and turned notifications on and off again in the app. I’ve also turned Bluetooth on and off. The phone appears to be synced but notifications isn’t working on the device. Messages do show up if I swipe to look for them.

I can’t find “notifications” on the device to turn on and off. It used to be under settings, right? No longer there. I thought it used to be under quick settings too. What am I missing?

@Cbirke I know that some users on iOS13 encountered problems receiving notifications. Perhaps you could try one of these workarounds:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app
  4. Reboot your Versa
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions incl pairing
  7. Make sure Fitbit Notifications are enabled in your phone Settings. If they are switch them off, sync, switch them back ON, and sync again.
  8. Tap the Settings app on your iPhone > Bluetooth.
  9. Tap the "i" icon next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  10. Turn on Share System Notifications.
  11. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  12. For Phone and Calendar, make sure Allow Notifications and Notification Center are on.
  13. For Messages, make sure Allow Notifications is on, Lock ScreenNotification Center, and Banners are on, and Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.

@Cbirke Can you please swipe down on the screen and tap the gray icon on the right (next to the wallet) to access Quick Settings, then make sure that DND and Night mode are not enabled (two top icons)? This could explain lack of vibrations while messages are still going through to your Versa.

By uninstalling and reinstalling the app, will that erase all of my previous stats?

@Cbirke No, it won't as the data is stored on Fitbit servers in the cloud. Each time you sync the app it downloads the data. Make sure to sync your fitbit first to make sure there's the most recent data on the servers. 🙂
