Versa 2 SpO2 (EOV) Questions

Based on the press release for the Versa 2, an spO2 sensor will become standard and be used primarily for the sleep score.

Does anyone know if this will also be used in fitness tracking? i.e. when working out, would O2 levels be measured and considered when calculating the overall fitness score?

Logging in and checking daily is driving me completely mad... is it coming tomorrow,  6 months from now, or did it come last week and my watch is broken?! No way to know.  Friggin brilliant plan Fitbit!  Why not add a "enable now" switch for those waiting and checking constantly?  Then, those who don't even know about this, (a vast majority I imagine) can be rolled out at Fitbit's pleasure.

I only have a green sensor.

Is this a fault with the unit, or is it an intended feature until it's switched on?

If my unit is faulty or needs a factory reset, I'd like to be told.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

I'm willing to wait. I like the info my versa 2 gives me now.

Whateer you measure Improves.

I have my finger clip SpO2 meter for the actual spot readings.

It is one of the worst roll out policies ever.  Phasing by device, sure.  All phone makers phase OS updates.  Phasing based on random, unexplainable factors without any communication of time frame.  Idiotic.  Time to go post my grievances on amazon.

Google should mandate that the Fitbit team watch this classic video on perception of inequality.  https://youtu.be/meiU6TxysCg

I am more concern with sometime in 2020 it will roll out. I have been really excited for this feature but still don't have it. I have good sleep scores but still feel tired and my wife says I snore a lot. I have had a sleep study in the past but nothing was discovered.

Don't wait. But something else. There are some good Spo2 sensors for
decent prices out there. Fitbit has promised this feature for a while.
They keep releasing new watch models without releasing the feature to even
my older watch model. Fitbit isn't a company you can trust. I hope you
read this before they delete it.

Yes, we're all still waiting for EoV, but as far as your sensor. If you were to look at your sensor after midnight and before 5-6 AM, think you would see the red sensor. Only turns on, my guess, when a good sleep sample may be available (should we live so long).

For those with the sp02 option, what version of firmware do you have on your Versa 2?

Like others I have 35.70.7.21 and I do not have the functionality.

I have same updated firmware as you on versa 2 and have had EOV graph( it is NOT a SpO2 reading like a finger monitor)  for two months. I do not have premium account. Neither the firmware nor account type is the reason you and others don’t have it. Matt a moderator explained in earlier post it was because FitBit is ‘rolling it out’ slowly ‘ during 2020.

Fitbit has spoken about Spo2 data for years and has made a number of claims it will be rolled out eventually.  Come on, people.  We are a bunch of suckers. I hope at least some of you read this before they delete it. Lol

That's what I'm on and nothing.

@Remydiva If you have an EOV graph and I don't, and we have the same firmware then the EOV (and maybe Sp02) must be 'applications' and not in the firmware.  I would think all this stuff would be in the firmware.

I can't imagine fitbit activating or deactivating functionality per account level.

Dunno but if you scroll back two pages to pg 6 a moderator says this-

Hello everyone!

As mentioned before, the red and infrared sensors on the back of your Fitbit device capture the data that you see on your estimated oxygen variation (EOV) graph. Although the sensors are components of a relative SpO2 sensor, the graph is not a relative SpO2 estimate.

Your EOV graph is located under sleep stages in the Fitbit app, or, if you’re a premium subscriber, it’s on the Restoration tab under your sleeping heart rate information. If you don’t see your EOV graph, note that:

-You must get sleep stages and wear one of the following Fitbit devices to get the EOV graph: Charge 3, Ionic, and devices in the Versa series.

-Certain customers began seeing the graph in December 2019. The feature will be available to all customers sometime in 2020.

We hope this answers some questions.
