Versa 2 connecting with Android 10 stopped receiving text notifications after just one day.
I have tried all of the steps listed in every forum post I could get my hands on:
still nothing. Calls have continued to work fine, but not texts. Getting very frustrated by this.

Best Answer@Skylla It should work with that phone. If you tried all the troubleshoots from the help article I linked above and still not working Id suggest you contact Support

I have NEVER received any text messages. I have Galaxy S10+ and using the default Messages app. I have tried another forum without success, I hope you can help me Nelly. I contacted support and they said to use a different device...yeah right!!! Too lazy to trouble shoot. This device worked with the first versa.
If this is not resolved in the next few days I am returning the product.
Update: Not sure which step it was that fixed it, but I repeated all of the steps listed above for a second time and it started working again and has been working for 3 days now with no further issues (knocks on all of the wood).
Maybe it was the 2nd uninstall? Maybe it was one of the many, many reboots I did? Maybe they should add a simple "Clear Cache" option to their software which I believe to be the actual culprit?
Also, I am using a Pixel 3 (not XL) with Android 10.
Best AnswerI'm also having the same issue. I have a Versa2 running with a Pixel2 on Android10. The watch fails to receive messages from the standard messaging app regularly. Disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth restarting the watch, restarting the phone, verifying that every setting is optimized and permissions are set to allow messages - and still nothing keeps the connection consistent. I bought this watch for the text messaging connectivity and I'm pretty close to returning it due to the amount of frustrations I have had with it.
Mine started working for a few days then as well, but now I am no longer getting message notifications. Versa 2, Samsung S10e
Best AnswerI switched from a Galaxy S10e (messages worked & then didn't work after update) to a Galaxy Note 10 with updated Operating system Android 10. Text messages not working. Infuriating. My husband has same phone with a Versa and it works fine. My Versa 2, not so much.
Best AnswerI'm in the same boat. I called support. They said they were aware and they thought the issue was the app and we had to wait for an update. That was a month ago!
Best AnswerI was having this issue with a Samsung S10 using the native messaging app. Getting all. nofications except texts. I downloaded and started using Google Messages as my default messaging app and it now works. Saw this in another thread about this issue also saw on there that Messages+ also worked for people. Hope this helps you all!
Thanks! Google messaging app worked. I'm still going to hound Fitbit support until they fix the issue, but at least I'm getting text notifications again. 😁😄😀
Best AnswerI cannot believe I just changed from IPhone to Android to not have the same compabilities I had. I purchased the Samsung Galaxy A71 and the Fitbit Versa 2 to only find that they are not compatible for texting and emails. I understand your resources have changed with the Pandemic but it is very disappointing to not have these resources but also to have spent hours trying to find a fix. Please share with me and your other customers that there is a legitimate fix now. Thank you.
Best AnswerYour post was nearly a year ago. I have a Galaxy S10 and not working. You ever hear anything?
