My mom and I both got new Pixel 6 and since then have been having issues with our Fitbits, I have the Versa 2 she has the Versa. Our Fitbits track our steps but that's it. It hasn't been tracking our sleep or heart rate. On the watch it logs the active hours but it doesn't transfer it to the app. We've tried multiple times restarting the watch, restarting our phones, remove the device from our account and added it back, deleted the app, turned off heart rate and turned it back on, turned on Bluetooth, forget device on Bluetooth.
Has anyone else been having syncing issues? Is it us like is it user error or is there something going on with Fitbit? I figured since Google merged with Fitbit the syncing would be better but that's not the case. I don't know what to do I miss all the extra functions of my versa 2 because right now my Fitbit is just a step counter.

If it synced fine with your previous phone, and the only thing you changed is the phone, then the likely cause is the new phone or something in the interaction with the watch.
I can’t offer advice on a Pixel phone as I’ve never used one, but it’s worth doing a search for any issues with the Pixel 6 and bluetooth accessories.
Did anything else change between the previous phone and the new one? Maybe you installed the 72.1.23 update?
BTW, what was the previous phone? Another Android phone or an iPhone?

I had the pixel 3axl before and I installed the update before switching phones. I think something's wrong with the watch the green light isn't on and it's not tracking my heart rate which I'm learning is a common problem here.

Do you have heart rate turned on in the watch? Go to "settings" and make sure "heart rate" is turned on. Also make sure that sleep mode is not enabled. Here's a link to the manual if you have problems finding the settings. Versa 2 user manual
Does the Fitbit app see the watch or show it as connected in the bluetooth menu? Can you change the watch face? Wondering if it is connected full-time or if there are bluetooth problems.
Try searching for "pixel 6 bluetooth problems" for ideas on bluetooth connectivity as well, just in case...
Did it work on the pixel 3axl after the firmware update? If you still have access to the old phone then its worth a try even if you just use it in wifi mode.
One more thing to consider is doing a shutdown from the settings screen on the watch or letting it completely drain the battery then charging.

Yeah Ive triple checked all the settings trying to figure out if it's a me problem but everything is on and it worked completely fine with my old phone. On the app it says it synced a moment ago and it shows it's connected on my bluetooth but then it doesn't show my hourly activity or anything other than my steps.
I haven't tried letting the battery drain so I'll try that. Thank you!

You know it is communicating since it syncs, which is good. From the sound of things it seems the sensors are acting wonky. If a battery drain or reset/shutdown doesn't fix it, it may be more time for drastic measures like a factory reset, which to me that is always a last ditch effort to fix something. If you do decide to do a reset understand it may either fix everything or turn your watches into landfill fodder.
If you do decide on a factory reset I suggest you should first delete the watch from the Fitbit app, unpair it with your phones bluetooth, and if it was me I would uninstall the Fitbit app on my phone to be sure the data is gone (it will be saved in the Fitbit cloud), then finally do the watch factory reset. You will have to re-pair you watch as if it was new, but it should (fingers crossed) do the trick. If not, I have no further pixie dust to help, sorry.
It's your choice, but wanted to make sure you understand the risks. I know you have already gone through the settings, but if it was me I would go through things very slowly just to be sure. I've missed things in the past myself. I would also try powering off the watch completely to see if that makes a difference, then let the battery drain if not.
From a different thread, you can try what finally worked for this user Fitbit finally working correctly again
Good luck with it!
