Versa 2 battery and notification issues

For the past 2.5 weeks, I noticed that my Versa 2 battery drained rapidly. I have to charge 3-4 times a day just to get through  day. Additional, my device stopped notifying me to move if I didn’t, no notification with phone calls or text messages, doesn’t register my sleep, wrong calories shown and much more. Practically the device is bo longer doing what it’s supposed to do. I contacted customer service several times and none of them helped me. In fact, most of that were particularly not useful in anyway and at the end, I was told to get a new device. I am not sure if someone has experienced similar problems especially with getting notifications and got it resolved. It’s been quite frustrating to say the least.

Hi @Crisclub - if as part of the troubleshooting you did a factory reset you may have to setup notifications again in the app.

A discharge rate as high as multiple times a day indicates the watch is severely damaged, probably from water getting in.

If you haven't done a factory reset yet, then that is last thing to try but it may not even work.

If it gets hot when charging stop immediately.

Thanks @Guy_ @for your feedback. I actually did the factory reset and still the same issues persist. Interestingly, the battery life issues have improved so I don’t have to charge several times a day. But without the stats and notifications, the device is useless to me.

@Crisclub - just to be sure did you keep the factory reset clock face? And does it sync with the app and does any information show. It could be there is a clock face issue.

Hi @MarreFitbit  thanks for you response. I started experiencing this after my phone’s iOS software updates. Does that mean versa 2 is not compatible. One thing I observed with my Fitbit app is under Settings>Activity & Wellness>Daily Activity >Hourly Activity Goal, the Reminder to move automatically turns off when I turn it back on, it automatically turns off agin. This very strange. This is just one of an examples.

@Guy_ yes I kept the factory reset clock face. The only thing syncing now and correctly are my steps, floors climbing and exercise. Calories burned, hourly reminder to move and the rest of the notifications not working. Interesting the  reminders to move is automatically turned off when I turn it back on, and leave it automatically turned back off. Not sure why that is happening. That is just an example of one of the issues
