Versa 2 button stopped working

My versa 2 button has stopped working.  The screen only comes on when you tap it.  Anyone know what to do. Round the button is clean.

Was this ever resolved? Some how I got a setting so it's in sleep mode and the side button won't won't to access setting to change it

still not resolved. called customer service got annoyed they kept asking me to reset it. I cant the button wont work. ive tried connecting to laptop, all app setting etc still on this mode

I contacted fitbit and they have sent a replacement.  Which I received yesterday.
