The cradle has the cord coming out of the bottom the cradle. Can not lay flat on flat surface. Called tech support and they said that is the design. I looked on FITBIT page and the charger pictured in accessories has the cable coming out of the back. Anyone else have issues with this?
Best AnswerBewildering is a perfect way to describe what Fitbit has done here. There doesn’t seem to be any reason they couldn’t have designed the Versa 2 to use the charger for the original Versa, which looks exactly like the one you purchased from Amazon.
Extremely disappointed with this. Honestly might be enough for me to return it for a refund, simply because of the stupid design, and wish I'd found out about this issue beforehand. My original Versa works perfectly fine still, and don't see why someone's ridiculous design should be rewarded.
It's absolutely ridiculous. When I connect my fitbit to this crappy cradle it flips over. If it's on the wrong surface it will scratch the face of the fitbit. What in the world were they thinking. Lazy craftsmanship. For the price of this thing we shouldn't have to buy a new charger that's made in a better way.
I just got my Versa 2 and noticed this design flaw immediately. Looping and securing the cord in the slot does not allow it to lie flat, even if I seriously put a crimp in the cable. I wonder how long before the cable is toast. You would think Fitbit could figure this out and fix it. 😞
Best AnswerPresumably there will be a Versa 3 with GPS by the end of the year. The smart thing would be to go with the original Versa charging cradle, or at least one that lies flat. I don’t expect either one. A more tone deaf company I would be hard tasked to name. Time for the Apple Watch perhaps.
