Started the recent firmware update and it got stuck in the logo screen.  Keeps flashing on and off.  Won't connect.  I forgot the device then refound it.  Pressed the button for 20 seconds all the usual. I have a Versa 2.

Hi there @Onondagamom, thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Versa 2 while updating it. I understand how you must be feeling about it. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for your time in trying to fix your watch prior to posting here.

As per the the description of your post it looks like you only unpaired your Versa 2 from the Fitbit app but not from the phone's Bluetooth settings and it's now asking you to pair it. Note that the error message you're now receiving on your watch's screen usually appears when you've performed a factory reset without first unpairing the watch from the phone's Bluetooth settings.

That being said, please try the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Once your watch is paired again, try following the steps provided in this help article: How do I update my Fitbit device?

Give this a go and let me know if you need further help.
