Versa 3 randomly rebooting itself

My brand new versa 3 keeps rebooting itself. I am not doing anything or touching it. I will feel a vibration on my wrist while I am sitting, and when I look at my watch it shows the fitbit logo and reboots. It has been doing this since I got it less than a week ago and does it several times a day. It's rather annoying. Anything I can do to fix it?

Noticed tonight as well, wasn't doing anything (watching TV in fact)

Same! Mine just shuts off and has to be restarted manually or it reboots itself. Super strange!

Same here, had mine approx 3 weeks and it has done it randomly over a dozen times. Hoping it's not a dud and this issue gets resolved.

In fact it's done it twice already today, I wasn't doing exercise at the time just relaxing.

Wow I wish I had looked at this forum before I bought mine!  Mine is rebooting too and its super annoying.  Has anyone contacted fitbit about this? If so what was the solution? I just contacted and the rep told me to factory reset and keep an eye on my fitbit.  I guess to see if it happens again.  They abruptly ended the chat so not sure where to go from here.

Hi , no haven't contacted anyone as I thought they would answer us on here. 

So reset as in wipe it all and start again?

I contacted them and they told me to send them a video of it happening. I sent the video and didn't get a response back until today. They only said sorry for the delay in response we will look into it. Thought it was interesting timing since yesterday I asked for a refund after not hearing from them.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. If they asked me that I'd tell them they're funny.
You're lucky you got a video. I usually use live chat since they're
normally pretty helpful. I bought mine from because its easier to return
with them at no extra cost.

Yes they advised me to completely wipe it with the reset. But now my alarm didn't go off this morning... Fix one problem, another pops up.

Oh no that's doesn't sound great that another problem has come up.

So if I reset it will I lose all the data I have built up over the last few weeks?

I synced my fitbit before I factory reset. There doesn't seem to be any
gaps in the data.

I think so but my versa 3 vibrates once in a while now in the middle of the
night even on sleep mode so who knows what it's doing. lol

Hi any update to this? As mine has rebooted itself 3 times so far today. It's very random. 

 

Actually make that 5!! It's done it twice since writing this post and sitting at rest.

I contacted fitbit via twitter a couple of times. They're oddly no help.
They know of the problem according to one of the responses here though.

So I’ve talked to customer service three times - 1st they told me to update the app and restart. Then they told me to wear my band more loosely in case the button was being pressed accidentally. And yesterday they told me to change my watch face because it was a third party face and supposedly they can cause it to restart. No idea if that’s true...

Mine did it the very first day I used it.  Right in the middle of a run.  I hate this watch so much.
