Versa 3 randomly rebooting itself

My brand new versa 3 keeps rebooting itself. I am not doing anything or touching it. I will feel a vibration on my wrist while I am sitting, and when I look at my watch it shows the fitbit logo and reboots. It has been doing this since I got it less than a week ago and does it several times a day. It's rather annoying. Anything I can do to fix it?

I factory reset as well, and have since been using this clock face without
issue (for a few months at least).

Hi! Before I begin just so you know I am just a random Fitbit user I am not tech support or anything. That being said I fix the problem by changing my clock face to one made by fitbit. When this problem was occurring I was using a clock face that was made by an independent developer and although I loved the clock face I had to stop using it because of the rebooting issue

Hi I had to do a factory reset. It has been fine since. I think mine was
cause by a clock face I had downloaded. Good luck

Mine reboots a lot, but it seems to be when i lean on it. For example I'm a great one for crossing my arms. If my Versa face is pressed on for about 10 secs it restarts.

I have only ever used a fitbit clock face.

Not really causing a problem, but it is annoying

Mine too. Seems to be when I'm inadvertently touching the screen for am unusually long time,  like crossing my arms. I turned off auto screen wake for a few days and it didn't do it.  So I'm sure is related to inadvertently touching the screen.

My Fitbit has been rebooting every 25 seconds for the past two hours.. hard reset doesn't work nor does opening the app. It is fully charged, I haven't downloaded a clock face or new music recently. The screen is completely unresponsive. Please help Fitbit!

Sorry I don’t know how to help you. When I had that problem it was the clock face that I downloaded. Once I change the clock face the problem on the way.
Since you were saying that you did a hard reset I would suggest contacting Fitbit directly

The last update supposedly assessed this issue. It seemed to have, until yesterday. I had my left forearm resting on the screen and I felt it vibrating. Looked and it was rebooting. 🤨

There are definitely issues with these Fitbits. My Versa 2 reboots ever few minutes. Fitbit support is useless and don't expect to get better now that Google owns them. I love the product but doubt i'd buy another since they don't seem to last and there are never any solutions to problems that arise. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

My watch is also doing this suddenly... it's able to work perfectly fine throughout the entire factory reset and setup process too without turning off. I've tried at least 10 times now. It will update and install new firmware. And then I try to use the newly set up watch and the problem happens again...

It is very unlikely I will ever buy another Fitbit product. $180 for a watch that lasted less than two years and has a bizarre rebooting problem that isn't unique only to me with no response what so ever form Fitbit/Google, is totally unacceptable. Come on, Google, show your customers some love!

This issue was first reported two years ago and it is still happening? I have had my Versa 3 for about a year now and it just started happening several times a day for no reason. Seems to be hurting the battery life as well.  Would love a solution!

Like everything Google, Support is non existent!

They want you to just buy a new one.

What's the update? Seems people had this problem 2 years and fitbit haven't fixed it. My watch is 3 weeks old and has reset and rebooted(requiring reinstall on app) 6 times!!

Can anyone recommend a step counter/ smart watch that works?

It was a big waste of money and Google has done nothing to make it better. I'll never buy another s*itbit again!
