My Fitbit doesn’t seem to be logging my miles correctly when out a walk. Mine said 3.72 miles but my dads said 5.94 miles and his is correct as we followed a marked path. I have updated it and synced.

There's an inherant problem with Fitbit and GPS distance logging
I run with my wife and mine generally tracks 1-2km more than hers. I use Runkeeper alongside and both maps show the same legend yet Fitbit drastically calculates my distance
Ive asked for help and Ive been told (after restarting) that it's my phone's GPS or I'm in a built up area!
(Brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max) Seems to work fine with Runkeeper, Google Maps, What3Words and my drone apps?
