Versa Lite blank screen

HELP....My Versa Lite is less than two months old. This morning my screen went from white to black.  I'm trying to charge it but nothing is happening. If the battery is dead, won't it indicate it's being charged when plugged in?  I've pressed the button on the side and nothing. I thought I'd restart as suggested, but there is not back button.  I'm at a loss.  Would you please help me??  Thank you.

I did everything you did Kelly and nothing worked. It was still tracking but the screen was blank. I did get in touch with Fitbit help online and the only other suggestions they gave me was to rub the prongs on back of versa with rubbing alcohol and the Fitbit charger and try to charge for a bit, but that did not work either. My versa light was purchased last summer but it must have been just over a year old so they would not replace it, they did offer a discount 35% off a new one. 😞

I received a similar "story" about the warranty last month and was only given a 25% discount.  From what I can see they are only offering one Versa Lite.  If I were a betting woman, I'd say they are discontinuing it.   I took the credit and purchased a Versa 2 as well as a two year protection plan.  I'm hoping the odds are in my favor and the new one is more dependable.  I've already had a few software updates and it's not quite a month old.  I'm crossing my fingers.  Good luck to you!!

Ditto. Purchased last summer but must have been outside the window and not
within the replacement window. Nice to know I'm not alone, but would be
better if there was more longevity out of this device. Best wishes Alison

Same thing happened to my fitbit versa lite. I tried all those suggestions from the forum but nothing helped. Screen would just turn dark gray when on and then turn black. It still syncs to the phone and tracks activities but no screen display. Since this seems to be happening to a lot of people, maybe there is something wrong with actual display screen (hardware defect) or something. I also noticed that the screen was a little laggy after the recent update. Hope they find out soon since I really like my fitbit.

My Fitbit versa lite has had a blank screen today, took it off charge this morning and did realise it wasn’t working until I got to the gym. It’s also not syncing, and won’t update. 
Blue tooth is showing not connected. I’ve googled and tried everything I can find. 
help the side button in for 12 seconds let go for 2 seconds and held again for another 12

but it’s doing nothing. 
the light on the back (that sits on your skin) isn’t flashing either. Has it just died??

When my screen went blank it still tracked my steps and vibrated for notifications.  And the lights on the inside still lit up.  So maybe yours had a different issue which is HOPEFULLY  fixable or possibly just wasn't connected to the charger properly and the battery died.

Told me it was out of warranty, then gave me a "great code" for 20% off
which, when I compared to the item out in stores was no discount at all.
Ultimately, nothing. Mine was maybe 13 months old and they didn't support
the product at all.

I'm not able to follow any of these steps since my versa lite screen is blank. I need to have it on before I can change the clock face or do anything else.

I am having this exact same issue. I decided to ‘remove device’ in an attempt to set it up again, but now it’s asking me to enter the number on the fitbit, but the screen is still blank and I can’t see the number to pair it! The device is still working and it’s been ‘found’ but I can’t see a thing...

I got in touch with Fitbit and was in warranty they replaced it for me.

Thank you for this answer. By holding down the side button on my Versa lite for 10 seconds I was able to get it to restart. Now my watch face is back and it is sincing fine. 🤩👍🏼

You are lucky but more then 90 percent ppl are facing issues with lite version and nothing is working out. My watch is not turning on and custimer service guys asked to me hold button for 10 second nothing happened then they asked to rub alcohol on golden points and on charging lins still not working. I have hardly used my watch. its so disappointing.  can any1 help plz

I’m the same black screen comes on when in charger as soon as I take off it goes black nightmare Fitbit won’t replace

I am having the same problem and I uninstalled and reinstalled and now I have most everything back except the stats. They will not show up no matter what I
