Versa Lite won't setup

Hi all

I have a 1.5 year old Versa Lite. One fine day it decided to stop syncing anymore to my Fitbit app, so I did the following:

- unpaired it and tried to pair again. But it didn't show up in the App at all

- tried factory reset through hard reset as guided by Fitbit support on Twitter but it got stuck at a red cross screen.

- tried pairing again but the App didn't detect the device

- tried on a different phone (mine is android, I tried on an iPhone too) - same result, App doesn't detect the device at all

- once in 20 times, I reach the screen where I need to enter a 4 digit code form the versa screen, I enter that in the App and a few minutes later the App goes back to the screen "Device not found".

Any other troubleshooting steps anyone can recommend? My guess is the Bluetooth connectivity of the device is faulty.

Hi @sudeepmehrotra, welcome to the Community Forums.

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device. Then, you can move forward and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

Hi

Thanks for replying, I was actively using my Versa Lite earlier, and hence am aware of the compatibility requirement etc. Also I have referred to the links on the Fitbit website for troubleshooting too. But suddenly the device has stopped responding to connectivity / hard reset etc.

Regards

You're welcome @sudeepmehrotra, your reply is also appreciated.

Thanks for taking into consideration the troubleshooting steps that were shared on my previous post and for the details that were shared with me. To further investigate why can;t you setup your Versa Lite, can you please let me know which phone are you using? Have you tried with a different phone?

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Hi Ricardo. Yes, that's done too, and already mentioned in my original post:

- tried on a different phone (mine is android, I tried on an iPhone too) - same result, App doesn't detect the device at all

To add more details, Android phone is an Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, running Android 10. The other phone is an iPhone XR and running iOS 14. Both seem to be compatible for Fitbit.

Thanks
