Versa is over-counting my steps

Since the last update my versa has become very unreliable. I've completed a restart, uninstalled app. Restarted from scratch, but it's not resolving 

Tonight I sync'd. 9887 steps at 730pm. By 745pm my watch is buzzing, I looked to see 16,906 steps. What's funny is that the app has recorded a very intense session between 730-745pm....I was literally posting on FB while sat on my sofa 😂. 

So my question is, how do I get my versa to work properly again?

Mine was showing 60.000 steps at 7 am. All night the watch was not even on my wrist. Is the second time when this happens to me and I find it really annoying.
