Hi @Fabifonar That is very sad ☹. Try restarting it several times and see if that fixes it. If it doesnt then Support is your only option, so contact them and see if they can help.

TRY to restart several times and it may eventually restart (or it may not lol). If not - Support!

My fitbit versa doing same thing this morning. I have tried to restart 3 times. Holding all 3 buttons, only holding 2 buttons, just doing back button. Nothing will not restart. Just a black screen. No lights from back either.

My watch just died yesterday too.
Put on charge for over an hour. Watch was warm but no life in it.
Ive tried every combination of pressing the buttons for up to 3 minutes. No response.
I contacted support last night... The initial email response says it could take 7 days for them to respond.

I'm in the UK and bought my versa on amazon.
I tried ringing the support line from amazon and after 20 mins on hold got through to a guy who was very helpful.
He could see my watched synced at 75% on Wednesday afternoon.
He organised a replacement to be sent out. In Uk and EU the warranty is 2 years. So maybe try this and see how you get on?

The same thing just happened to me yesterday! Dead! Won't recharge!
Is the Versa? is it the charger? I'm a bit dependent upon mine. I want to get it "back up and running!"
OK, so it seems too weird that we all have the same problem that started on the same day....

Same problem here. Versa died because of no battery and does no recharge. I tried different plugs and cleaned the pads, but nothing happens.

I tried the reset, although my battery was (almost) empty when I tried to recharge, by holding the 3 buttons at the same time for a while....and it worked!

Yeah I tried all that 😭. Contacted customer support and we went through all the trouble shooting and still nothing. They ended up giving me a 40% discount on a new one so I just went with that.

Warranty in North America is only 1 year and mine was 18months old. I contacted support and we went through all the troubleshooting but still nothing. They gave me a 40% discount on a new one so I just went with that.

This is, sadly, common. We have four Versa devices in our family of 5. The other member is too young to have one yet. The week before mine died, my son's died. He was under warranty (US) and was able to get his replaced. Mine died the exact day my Dad received his for his 70th birthday, a combined gift from my siblings and I. I was at 52%, it synced, then just died. I have tried every combo, charged on several different chargers, threw it in a drawer, etc. It will light up to say it's at 0%, but cannot do anything else at all. So it can't be totally dead. It only lights up at 0% sometimes, after I've held buttons down for hours with washi tape, so it's holding a charge, the screen just won't come on unless it's at 0%, and I can't pair it to a phone. I chatted in, and Fitbit won't replace it because it's out of warranty, but will offer me 20% off another. I'm a substitute teacher, out of work with COVID-19. I told them I cannot buy another because of that, they said it is fine, the offer stands for 30 days. I'll be lucky to go back to work in 3 months! Luckily, I got my son's dead one going again using the charge, hold down for hours with washi tape method, so at least I can track my steps right now. I have years of data in my Fitbit app, and with so many devices in my family, getting that sort of response is terrible customer service.
The last lady I chatted with told me that they know there's a problem with them dying here in the forums. They know this is an issue, yet they won't make it right for anyone who is out of warranty, and some who are in warranty are struggling as well, from what I'm seeing here.
We've ordered a Wyze band to give that a try. $24 isn't a bad investment, considering I paid a couple hundred dollars for something that lasted me less than 1.3 years!

My Versa has also been getting very, very warm. I do have some lights on the back immediately after removing from the charger. I watched the screen died several days ago and have tried all the methods of trying to restart it. At one point I got it to be recognized by the phone, but after that I removed it from my account to attempt to set it up again. Unfortunately, if you can not read the four digit code to set up the account again, due to a dead screen, you are stuck! Fortunately my old Blaze unit has come back to life and its previous battery draining issues are not a problem now, BUT I would really love to have my Versa working again. I will NEVER buy another device from Fitbit again, after several years of this nonsense. I have been a customer since 2012.

My Versa was on 18% battery. The green light at the back was still flashing. I put it on the charge and after an hour I checked it and it had the Fitbit logo on then the screen went black. This happened on the 17th of April 2020. I find this all strange because we’ve all experienced this within a 24hr time frame.

I am having this exact same issue and have tried all the things. Restarting, charging, cleaning the charger, using different USBs. Nothing. I am so disappointed. I think I've only had mine for a year and a half.

Mine died all of a sudden and wont charge. I ordered a new charger and the new charger is different from the 1 that came with my versa 2. I have had mine about 2 yrs. From what I'm reading on here I think I got lucky. I'm lost without mine but after reading so many other people having the same problem I'm not sure if I want to replace it with another fitbit.
