Welcome to the Forums @EILJSH.
I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on with your Versa. I will be moving this thread to the Versa board as I think it is better suited for it.
Are you referring to the Versa tracking the activities on its own or tracking after manually selecting the option?
Look forward to your reply.

Having this same problem. Versa. Activities are recorded but not showing up in the weekly exercise section. I'd like to be able to categorize exercise there, and mainly have it added to the weekly goals. This has been going on for 2.5 days starting sometime Tuesday March 12.
If there is a solution please post. I will probably set up an blind chat to get help if no solution.
Thanks!

I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for reaching out with those details.
@EILJSH If you enter the activity into your tablet, does it not show up on the list of activities? Keep in mind that you can manually log activities that were not tracked by your Fitbit or that you were not wearing your Fitbit for.
@DH_Marin I could see that you reached out to our support team and that they offered some assistance to your situation.
Feel free to let me know if there are any further questions.

Thanks for reaching back with those details.
@EILJSH In your case let's try to edit the amount of time needed for the Fitbit to auto recognize an activity. You can click here to read more about it. Maybe reducing the time needed for the activity helps so that it starts tracking. If that doesn't work you can also set the Versa to track a workout in the same way @DH_Marin mentioned.
@DH_Marin Thanks for that update. Please know that we'll be sharing your feedback with the rest of the team.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
