The usual things to try when you get syncing issues are:
Note that fitbits only have a limited memory to store data between syncs. After 5 - 7 days it stops recording detailed data and starts holding data at a daily summary level. So, when you get your syncing issues sorted you may find that your data looks strange in the app.
