Versa not syncing with Droid Maxx

New versa 12 July 2019.  Frequently loses Bluetooth connection.  Improved slightly after disabling constant sync and connection and unpairing, then repairing Versa.  Turns out my versa has only Fitbit 2.75 though allegedly downloaded "latest update" during installation.  Phone is older Droid Maxx (allegedly Fitbit compatible) and Android 4.4.4 (latest available from Verizon for that phone).  Annoying Bluetooth problems that should have been detected/fixed earlier by Fitbit.  Have used Versa during two days to record cardiac workouts.  Pretty snazzy -- when Versa connects.  Measures heartbeat within +- 1 bpm when compared to pulse oximeter both at rest and during vigorous exercise.

@Bugsmasher, welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa not syncing with your phone. I want to clarify that the latest version of the Fitbit app is available for devices running Android 5 and above. Still you can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.
