Versa problems not counting steps

I have had my versa 5 days and it's not counting steps accurately. It's is very intermittent.  Sometime I can walk for 10 to 20 steps and it doesn't count any.  I contacted fitbit and they got me to do a test.  In this test I had to walk in a straight line and like a solider, it counted 97 out of 100 steps so they said there is not an issue.  I explained that you don't always walk in a straight line and it's very intermittent.   Fitbit don't want to know and are been unhelpful.  Has anyone else had this same issue? Also the exercises are not recording in the app dashboard on workout and circuit training mode, they record stats on the watch but in the app it doesn't show stats for time or calories in the front exercise screen.  The charge 2 used to record time.and calories burnt.  The versa just shows a -- for.calories burnt.  Think maybe there are still some small issues to resolve with the versa.

My versa watch is not counting my steps.  I tried resetting a few times and still the same problem. My girlfriend and myself walk the same exact steps side-by-side and mine was skipping every three steps or so and it did not take a few seconds to reset it never came I walked up and down my stairs right now it says that I did seven stops which is not possible. Why is this a problem with the fit bit versa?

A little bit of variation might be expected but I just walked 5 minutes at over 100 steps per minute and it didn’t give me over half of them.

Bewildered to find the Versa suddenly deciding I had been cycling for an hour and a half the other day. I don’t even own a bike!

I am having the same issue with mine. If i have taken less that 10 steps it just ignores them. My partner and i both got the versa on same day his records all steps, mine only starts counting agter i have done around 10 steps. Have you found a fix yet?

I am right handed and wear on my left hand and have it set is my non dominant hand. My fitbit versa will not add any steps to the counter if i do less than 10. I have tried turning it off and on. I have tried changing my stride length. My partners counts steps if he does less than 10 as did my old hr charge. What else can i try?

Hi yes I unpaired the watch from the app and deleted the app a few times
and rebooted the watch a few times and reconnected it and eventually it
started working. Make sure you have good WiFi. That was half my problem.

I deleted the app on my iPad and kept it on my phone. Once I had to
completely delete versa then reinstall. It’s mostly fine now but every once
in a while I can’t sync it for a couple days.

I'm giving your suggestion a try. With my Charge HR, I averaged 11k steps per day. Since upgrading to the Versa, I average 6k. I haven't suddenly become a couch potato, so I'm quite sure it's not counting all my steps. I'll let you know if it helps.

I'm not convinced on the Versa at all. I still don't think it's accurate,
and now it always says I burn 3500 calories a day! If that was true I'd be
stick thin by now!

Old Fitbits were way more accurate.
