Just got my Versa yesterday. Setup went fine, no snags. All seemed well until last night when I noticed the screen had a slight flicker. The flicker worsened with movement of my wrist, though was still somewhat noticed while still, and was seen both in the watch face and app screens (wanted to confirm it wasn't something odd with the face install). I restarted the unit and everything looked good after that.
Today I noticed a slight flickering again. This time it did not continue and did not require restart.
I did not buy from Fitbit, but from an authorized dealer with an easy return policy, so I'm keeping a close eye on this in case it needs to be returned or exchanged. Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem.

Best AnswerI noticed something similar when using the Auto brightness setting. You might try changing it to Normal and see if it disappears. For this reason, I don't use Auto. I find the flickering/fluctuations annoying.

Thanks, I'll try this and report back.
Update - turning off auto-brightness fixed the occasional flicker!

A warm welcome to the Community @Hk10, @Elle303 and @dianewordsmith thanks for stopping by.
I am glad to see here that the instructions provided by our friend worked and that your watches are now working properly. If you need further assistance, do not hesitate to post it.
Keep the stepping up. ![]()
Hi Alejandra,
I appreciate your responses, but finding a temporary workaround for a programming error, and being unable to use the built-in autobrightness function can hardly be considered "working properly."
Agree, this isn't working properly. We've simply ceased using a function to avoid the annoyance of the flickering.
@AlejandraFitbit, I appreciate the public welcome, though it was followed by email from you warning me I violated community standards by replying to the thread that the proposed solution worked (?) I would like some clarification, as this certainly has not been a warm welcome nor does it make me want to contribute further. Looking forward to your reply.
My Fitbit Versa is flickering and I noticed you have a possible solution in changing the Auto-brightness to Normal. I cannot locate where to do that.... could you please help?
Best AnswerMy month old Versa has finally given up the ghost. After heavy flickering the screen went blank. After dealing with Customer Support and following their suggestions they have agreed to send me a replacement.
I was in a “lounge” pub/restaurant last week (Pierrot Lounge in Exeter) and I noticed my screen was flickering. Afterwards it seemed fine. A couple of nights ago I was in another eatery in the same group ( Brunello Lounge Weston-super-Mare) and the same flickering was happening. I think it may be due to the lighting at these places because I only see this when at these locations which use low level LED lighting ( just a theory).
Best AnswerI've had my Versa for about 18 months now and have had several issues with it, requiring a factory reset. The last issue (before the flickering began) was that my sleep was not being recorded. When Googling that problem and getting the sleep recording fixed my Versa started flickering.
I've tried all the supposed "solutions" for a flickering Versa and none of them have worked!!!! And, of course, my Versa is out of warranty.
And I agree that while not using the auto-brightness setting seems to have worked for some, their watches are still NOT working as they should!!!

Best AnswerMy Fitbit started flickering today. I’ve had it for 14 months and it’s out of warranty. So what now? Is it about to die on me and there’s nothing I can do? I mean these things are expensive and they should last longer than 14 month's.
