I have received my Versa Thursday and after 2 hours of charging it. The battery got drained within 6 hours. I have charge it on a PC. last night, slept with the watch to wake up to see my watch is down to 0%. Any other user having this problem? Should I waiy for an update to correct that or its a harware problem. Thank you for your answers.

It's interesting that Fitbit advertises 4+ days baterry life. footnotes that various things impact battery life. That means 4 days is the minimum and if you don't use extra stuff like 3rd party apps you should get more than 4 days. Right?

I wouldn't think 4 days is minimum, but as an average life..

I seems to be getting more than 4 days with the replacement versa, but then I didn't have sync  running

And it doesn't make much sense to have a "smart" watch and use it just as a dumb watch, so (with sync running,) 4 days +/- few hours is what Im looking for.

Mnmohn,

I was getting about 4 days for a while and was sort of ok with it but what Fitbit claims is 4+ days. Not around 4 days or up to 4 days or 4 days if it sits on the shelf. That means regardless of use everyone should get at least 4 days. Their claim actually sets the performance standard. I don't like false claims.

Well, if you feel cheated with false claims, it's upto you to take it up with the fitbit and look for a refund..

Nothing much a community forum or its members can help I guess.

Thanks for getting back to me @Kellyhull518! I totally understand your point. The reason why I asked you to turn some of the features it was to monitor how fast the battery is draining. So thanks for the update. Since this issue persists, I have escalated your case to our Support team for further assistance, so please take a look at your inbox.

Let me know how it goes!

I’m in the exact same boat. I could go 4 days with multiple notifications before the battery would drain. Mine is also almost done to 1.5. So very disappointed.

Exact same thing happened to me. Returned mine and moved on. Fitbit support just had me jumping through hoops when this was clearly a software problem. Didn't feel like doing their job for them.

Just got off Fitbit customer support. They confirmed it’s an issue and will get replacement. Howevere, I can’t understand how a battery can go bad in one month. I say this is a software issue in Versas. Potentially only in the latest software but there are many on the Internet with similar issues. And it may be that the battery management system that Fitbit uses is not up to the same standard as Apple?

Update

I got my replacement from fitbit on Monday. I charged it fully and wore it at 8:30pm. It has still got 30 percent charge left today . The previous fitbit lasted only 12 hours . I believe this one will last me for 3 more days. So in total 10 days. If you are facing battery issues then get your watch replaced . I believe it's the battery issue and not the software for quick battery drain.

Not sure. My battery was bad right from the get go. The replacement is
perfect. I have had it for a couple of months and I am sure I could go over
4 days with it. It is good to see that Fitbit is now accepting that some
went out with bad batteries. In the beginning they did not seem to.

I messaged FitbitSupport on twitter back and forth for a few days and after I did the battery test thing they wanted a few times and they emailed me saying they would send me a new one. I think it was defective. So I'm waiting now on the new one to arrive.

I was having a similar issue and called Fitbit community support. I described what I had tried to no avail the CS support tec ask me how was I recharging  with a wall unit or with a computer? I had been using a wall charger but he recommended using a computer, something about a slower recharge.  I tried it and it made all the difference.

I’m extremely disappointed with my Versa it doesn’t last more than 12 hours. An expensive item for it to not function properly

Definitely, the battery life is too bad.

I charge it like every night and it shows 30% by the end of the day. I wouldn't recommend anyone if they are not interested in plugging it every day.
