I have received my Versa Thursday and after 2 hours of charging it. The battery got drained within 6 hours. I have charge it on a PC. last night, slept with the watch to wake up to see my watch is down to 0%. Any other user having this problem? Should I waiy for an update to correct that or its a harware problem. Thank you for your answers.

Hi all, question I have the Fitbit Veras and love it. The only thing is why does the battery not last ? Am I doing something wrong? I feel as if I have to charge a lot every day because I get alert telling me the battery is very low?

I suppose there is three possible problems.
1. Using the fitbit too long (apps, programs, download)
2. Leaving bluetooth connection on with fitbit and device
3. Battery problem in general

If you do turn on your fitbit frequently, the chances are high in depleting
the battery. Or in another case, you may want to turn off bluetooth or
auto-sync on your device. If neither don't help, you definitely should
contact fitbit support.

Another replacement coming for mine too. First one stopped syncing altogether. I think these were prematurely released for sale. A bit more quality control should have been done. Glad I still have my Alta HR charged up for a replacement.

I have turned everything off and only us it to count step and I still have
to charge it very day, I have not download any music to it and feel like
that the versa is a big waste of money. It can't do any of the things you
say it can. As this was a present for mother's and my Birthday I have be
very disappointed.

Yes every night I charge It and it says 100% but as soon as I take it off the charger, the battery says it’s low. It’s super annoying. Before the update it stayed charged for a few days

Contact Fitbit support. Sounds like a defective battery.

Same boat here. Just started draining the battery in the last week. I have done nothing different than the first couple months I had it. Now I’m charging it every day.

Update: I got so annoyed with the Versa not even making it 9 hours some days (and also realized the heart rate wasn't tracking) so I contacted customer support via Twitter letting them know the issue, they asked for my account email so they could track the charging/losing charge. Was contacted by email next day with a few additional questions regarding usage and how/when I got the Fitbit. They determined it was not functioning properly and still under warrantee, so I got a replacement shipped! Works perfectly now! Fitbit support rocks.

So I have tried the following:

-Restarting/rebooting several times-battery still drains

-Performed battery test-last 12-14hrs(Battery)-been happening for a few weeks or so

-Recharged it again

And still the same issue keeps happening I don't know what else to do from here. I was really loving this device till my battery life of my versa was cut short. I don't know what else to do other than call Fitbit myself and explain more about it. I am getting more and more frustrated and I would prefer to not have to get a new one. Hoping its just a battery issue....

I went through the same but nothing worked so the only solution was to get
in touch with Fitbit support. They tracked the watch through the app and
saw battery was only lasting 6 hrs max so replaced it. I sent an email to
Fitbit support first buta week went by and no reply do I sent them a DM on
Twitter and it was all sorted in a few days. Good luck

Completely agree!

reading the comments on the forum makes me realise that it’s not just my watch, it looks like there’s an issue. I have only had mine a couple of weeks. When I first had it I was getting maybe 2.5/3 days out of it. Now it’s not even lasting a whole day! I charged it to 100% last night before bed, put the watch on to monitor my sleep.... I woke up 7 hours later and it’s down to 58%!! I’m not having to charge it some more before I can go out... it’s not going to last all day. None of my settings have changed in the less than 2 weeks I’ve had the watch! So don’t bother giving me a list of settings that I should change to “trouble shoot”.... you should be able to use all of the watch functions and still get a full day’s use out of the watch... otherwise where is the point in having it?! There is something wrong with the battery!

Fitbit issued a statement apparently saying some had faulty batteries,I'm on My 3rd FitBit Versa atm.

Since exchanging the Versa the battery life has lasted 5-7Days now,I don't use the smart watch feature just as a standard fitness tracker.

My advice is take it back to the shop for an exchange,The Fitbit support is awful.

Mines the same.. Was great at first, lasting a good 4/5 days when paired to my iPhone, now on a Samsung Galaxy it won't last 8 hours! Seriously wanting to chuck the thing in the bin and get a galaxy watch.

My second Versa did the same thing but i had only had it for a few days.,They sent me a third one and told me to keep the second one and not send it back. That should tell me something I guess. This third one is holding a charge and syncing after a few days of messing with it. I have had it for about two weeks.

Note:  After 45 days they will not offer replacements.

Get in touch with a private message on Fifbit Twitter page, also email
them. They are much quicker on twitter to reply and they will get you to
charge your watch and they will watch how it acts through the app. They
sent me out a new watch and so far very happy with it.

Not having trouble with the battery. Having another annoying issue. I accidentally cracked my screen at work. I work by a pool and water accidentally got into the cracks. So now it doesn’t work at all. Waiting to hear back from the support team to see if they can help me..see if can be fixed..since it’s more then just cosmetic damage..
