Versa stopped tracking sleep

[update: this seems to have fixed itself, so not sure what was going on the last few days]

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me understand why my Versa has suddenly stopped tracking sleep. The last time it worked was Thursday. I noticed that the heart rate monitor has stopped working too, but after I turned it off and on the heart rate started working again but sleep is still no longer working. Is this a software issue? Will it be fixed in a new up date? Is this related to new watch faces and app updates failing work? Any advice in what direction to go would be great received. It’s still under warranty from where I purchased it but would prefer for this resolve this myself.

Thank you.

Fab it's fixed, Heart

When there's any issue with the tracker, it's possible to restart the device if needed.

Feel free to check out the fitbit article: How do I restart my Fitbit Device?

I have the exact same issue the last two days except my heart monitoring did NOT restart for me.  Both the heart monitoring AND the sleep are NOT working.

This is why I left the post up. I’m wondering if it’s a software issue because it kept failing to update some apps. I turned it off and on again and then it started working again.

Mine also stopped but hasn't restarted. Bummed because sleep tracking is one of the main reasons I have this (& stopped wearing my Apple Watch)

Did anyone have a fix for this?  My Sleep and Heart Rate stopped syncing 3 days ago. Everything else syncs.  I've tried restarting my Fitbit 3 times, I've tried unpairing and repairing my device to bluetooth, I've powered down my phone a couple times.  My app is up to date, my phone is up to date.   I've set my app to All Day Syncing.  I don't know what else to do?  I have enjoyed this device for several months.  I even bought one for my daughter for Christmas, but after this issue I may be returning it and get her a Samsung Smart watch instead.

Yes. You need to turn the heart rate monitor back On inside the watch settings. For some reason it sometimes turns off.

Settings > heart rate

My Versa has stopped tracking sleep and heart rate 3 days ago. I followed all the advice; I have restarted it, checked the settings etc. No use. This seems to happen a lot. Is there anything that you can do?

Mine has stopped as of 11/22 and will not come back.

I thought it was just sleep tracking, as I do not track HR seeing as it is not very accurate. So I just checked and sure enough, both HR and Sleep are not tracking.

Naturally, I have restarted both the watch and phone multiple times...

Sorta disappointed as I was using the sleep tracker in a hope of improving my energy level, and find best time to drop off to sleep, etc..

I am resetting the watch right now as a last ditch effort to see if it will be able to do more than time.

I have not noticed any light on the back of the watch...

Looks like I bricked my watch...Bummer.

I only get a very faint logo with text alternating between different languages.

Watch does not respond to any button presses or face taps.

Now I dont even have a watch that tells time. Fantastic!

Mine is brand new and hasn’t tracked sleep once, the hr monitor is intermittent and I can’t get it to be consistent.  I don’t know what to do.

I returned mine because according to Fitbit it was not compatible with my phone. I have a newer Android device than the 5 year old lgv10 that is compatible... When I called they suggested I purchase a new phone.. when I looked up all compatible devices none of the newest phones where listed. My thing is why would I downgrade my phone so that it can be compatible with a brand new $200 fitness tracker. So Got wear os device instead and it's fully compatible does everything the Fitbit versa did and more.

Look up compatibility it might not be on there that might be the issue you are having with sleep tracking.

Is the problem with versa stopping tracking sleep fixed?  Mine has stopped too and it is one of my main reasons for the tracker.

I had to switch wrist because my non dominant has a tattoo and it won’t read even though my old one still would. I also had to disconnect my old one and it started working.
