Versa stopped working after swimming

Has anyone had issues with water damage with their Fitbit versa? I have had my versa for a year, and I am obsessed. I have never worn it in water before, even though it says it’s water resistant and has a swim workout option. I didn’t trust it. But my friend swims with her versa all the time and my sister in law swims with her Apple Watch. So I finally got brave and wore it in the pool (because I needed the steps) and now it won’t turn on!! It’s currently sitting in a bag of rice. I know it has water in it, I can see it in the sensor. I’m so sad because I think it is now ruined. I lost my best friend today 😭😭

Welcome to the Community Forums @meaghera! I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for putting your Versa in rice to solve the issue.

Have you tried restarting your Versa? If your device is not syncing, I'd recommend taking a look at the article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Versa is swim-proof in a lake, pool, or ocean (up to 50 meters). For more information about wearing your Fitbit device, see our Wear and Care page.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and that they have helped you with this.
