Versa stuck on Fitbit logo

With the logo stuck on screen, removed Versa from app and followed steps for factory reset:

1. Pressed all buttons at the same time and logo disappeared on the 6th second;

2. Released Bottom button and hold onto the Back and Top buttons for more than 20 seconds. Versa did not turn on.

Logo re-appeared on screen after some time and stuck on screen again.

Cannot find Wifi setting in Fitbit app; also cannot find Versa in phone Bluetooth list.

Took good care of Versa (looks as new as before) but encountered very terrible experience with the wearable!! Weareble was already gving problems few months after purchase. Replacement is equally problematic.

Appreciate help to resolve issues.  Thanks in advance!

Hi there @XrisC, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about your Versa's recent behavior. I appreciate you've taken the time to try fixing the issue prior to posting here.

As @Rich_Laue said, it seems that your watch is asking to be paired. As per the description of your post it looks like you only unpaired your Versa from the Fitbit app but not from the phone's Bluetooth settings. Note that the error message you're now receiving on your watch's screen usually appears when you've performed a factory reset without first unpairing the watch from the phone's Bluetooth settings.

That being said, please try the steps below:

  • Remove your Versa from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Setup your Versa again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa.

If you can't get started with your Versa, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Give this a go and let us know how it goes.

Hi @XrisC it sounds like the Versa needs to be setup. This is done through the Fitbit app, there is nothing a user can do through the phones bluetooth but to remove the tracker from the phones connection.

How do I set up and troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit device?

Hi @Rich_Laue, thanks for the reply!

As mentioned in my post the tracker has been removed from the Fitbit app. Hence, need help to resolve the logo stuck on Versa screen for a factory reset so that I could proceed to set up. Could not even factory reset now.

What happened when you try and set it up?

Do you get any errors?

The app showed this message "Try again".

Hi @MarreFitbit

The Fitbit logo is still there after taking the following steps:

- Tried off and on the phone's Bluetooth. Couldn't find the Versa on my phone's Bluetooth. Hence, it should have been unpaired.

- Uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app.

- Try to set up but app gave this message "Try again".

I am at my wit's end now.

Btw, how do I identify the wearable on the phone's Bluetooth?  It's named "Fitbit Versa" or some codes?

Help required to get rid of the logo stuck on screen.  Thanks.

I have the same problem  and it's just out of warranty.  So annoying and all I can see in the logo.

Hello Marre,

I have the same problem with my new out-of-the-box Sense and I have tried all the so-called "Best Answers" and none of them work.

I happy I ordered via Amazon and I can simply order a replacement.

Best,

José

I've been having the same problem for month. I've only had versa for under a year. Tried the best answers but it doesn't work. My versa just keeps blinking the fitbit logo. I will never get any fitbit product again. I will give my money to garmin or Samsung for a new smartwatch. Lucky thing is I got this for christmas, so I didn't buy it but my family did. So I'm angry I even pointed them in this direction. I thought fitbit was supposed to be a good product.
