Versa stuck on loading screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My versa’s battery died a few days ago and as usual I put it on the charging dock to charge. Since then it has just been stuck on the loading screen. When I reset it turns off then back to that screen. I have had it on the charger for a few hours, left it not on the charger overnight, and reset it many, many times. I also tried cleaning the charger and the versa.

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please clarify what do you mean when you say that your Versa is stuck on the loading screen? Is your device displaying the Fitbit logo with a progress bar or it shows that's taking charge? If possible, please send me a picture of what your device is showing for a better understanding of this situation and for me to further assist you.

I'll be waiting for your reply. Don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have.

The screen just shows the Fitbit logo, no loading bar. If I turn it off, when I put it in the charger it lights up with just the logo but not the charging bar or anything.

I’m unfortunately not sure how to include a picture here.

Your reply is appreciated @SunsetRunner, thanks for answering the questions from my previous post.

I’m sorry to know that you’re still experiencing difficulties with your device. To fix it, I recommend you to try the below steps to factory reset your device and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Keep in mind that a factory reset procedure erases stored data, including the stats that were not synced to your Fitbit account. Also, applications installed, music downloaded, alarms, etc.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I tried the suggested factory reset but it didn’t work. When I held all three buttons, the logo would disappear but when I immediately let go of the bottom right button the screen remained blank and no vibration happened. When I let go the logo would reappear a few seconds later.
