Versa touchscreen not working

I have had my Versa for almost a month now and it has started to have a few issues as follows:

 

  • The screen will not light up on its own anymore when I wave my wrist up to check the time, I have to touch the buttons for it to display.
  • The right side of the touch screen will not allow me to select, I can press the bottom right button to select what is on that side of the screen but cannot select any symbol that may appear on the top right such as the finish flag on a workout.
  • It will no longer display my notifications, the notifications are all set up correctly through the app but for some reason it has now decided to stop working. It was displaying my notifications initially when I set it up.

Customer service made the return very easy for me. It did take almost 3 weeks for me to receive a new Versa.

I do have the same issue, nothing is working from a reset perspective and screen just remains black.  However I do see in app that the watch itself is still working in the background, also get the vibrations from receiving emails I guess but can't see them.

I'm having issues with my versa, the screen doesn't display anything, having read a few posts on here with the same issue, I've tried the 3 button reset but at the 12-15 sec mark I do not see the Fitbit logo.

I have had no issues with my Fitbit up until now, purchased in May 2018.

Please could you advise me on any further instructions or where I can take it for repair.

It is not repairable.  Contact Customer Support.

at first my versa special edition froze with a 30% update progress bar during the first setup.

I tried contacting support through twitter and waited 40 mins for a response.

 

Attempted to factory reset using key combinations, that did not work.

Attempted several reboots, eventually off the progress bar screen, now the touch screen is completely unresponsive.

My touchscreen started going crazy and locked me out.  I used my phone app to reset my password  Screen still pressing random buttons and not allowing me to do anything.  I disabled the security on watch.  Screen is frozen.  Rebooted many times, no change.  Tried a factory reset, and now the watch is completely dead and cannot restart it.  Sounds like there is a fundamental problem with these expensive new watches.

Is the three button factory reset tied to a specific firmware version.  I have tried this about 30 times and cant get it to progress to the full factory reset.  I have held the left button and top right button upwards of three minutes.  If I let them go it does a normal reboot but holds off until I let them go.

When I go to change screens it glitches and moves on its own. Also will randomly open apps and I will be stuck on various exercises and will kill my battery. I’ve tried several resets and nothing has worked. It’s only a year old!

Can you please escalate mine as well?  I am having the touch screen issue where I cannot swipe at all.  I can use buttons but that is it.  I rely on this for alarms.
