Versa touchscreen not working

I have had my Versa for almost a month now and it has started to have a few issues as follows:

 

  • The screen will not light up on its own anymore when I wave my wrist up to check the time, I have to touch the buttons for it to display.
  • The right side of the touch screen will not allow me to select, I can press the bottom right button to select what is on that side of the screen but cannot select any symbol that may appear on the top right such as the finish flag on a workout.
  • It will no longer display my notifications, the notifications are all set up correctly through the app but for some reason it has now decided to stop working. It was displaying my notifications initially when I set it up.

I did contact customer service and they are the ones that helped me to get it going again. They were implying it was my phone and that it is not on the list of their LG phones. I will be contacting them again when I have an hour or more to spend on the phone because it was well over an hour last time. Although I have my receipt and my original packaging they never offered to replace it.

I could cry!! Had my watch about a month now, randomly touchscreen stopped working!! I can’t even turn my alarms off!! Argh!! I have a passcode on it so can’t restart either. 😞

I fixed this problem by disconnecting my versa 2 from my phone (for get this device) then reconnecting it. It went through all the steps of connecting to my phone, like when I bought it. So it updated the versa 2 as it connected. So far it has worked. Good luck

Ya fitbit is a piece of crap. Spend so much money and its giving me problems over a yr screen not responding, auto restart randomly, heart rate reading go crazy and u name it. As of today 2 of my versa me and my wife both broke down just over a yr.

I dont know if you can help me. But I have the same problem. My touchscreen on the right side does not work after a short swim last night.

This is my second fitbit after a swim before with my first one and had to have it replaced. I do not think mine is waterproof.

Anyway. I have tried several times to hard reset mine using the buttons since I cannot use the settings icon since its on the right side. I used the buttons. I feel like I am following the directions to the letter but am not able to get the "strong vibration" I hold all 3 for 12 seconds, I see the fitbit logo, then when it blinks off I let go of the bottom right button. I continue to hold the upper right and the left button. To no avail the logo continues to blink. I have held it the 8 seconds and other odd amounts of time to see what works. Is there another suggestion?

First, Versa is not waterproof.
Secondly ....try to charge Versa again because very fast is discharged
after several attempts to reset.

In time, is harder to reset Versa even trying several times and is not
vibrating at all.
Try again and success. My Versa is 2 years old or a little older and,
probably, they are expecting to buy a new one.
