Versa v's Versa Special Edition differences?

Good morning,

I'm really excited to see the launch of the new Fitbit Versa!

I intend to buy when when they are launched and have been reading up on both the Versa and Versa SE.

However, after reading information about both I'm a bit confused.

1. Is the NFC reader for fitpay only available on the Versa SE?  Do I have to buy the special edition to use Fitbit pay?

You can reply to texts if you have an Android but it does not work if you have iOS (an iPhone)

So ... the ONLY difference between a Versa and a Versa SE ... is that the Versa SE has the NFC chip to read/accept credit cards?

My Versa se with lavender woven band came with an extra Lavender band for size. Not an extra black band. 

Btw, the Lavender one gets dirty so fast. 

I have tried cleaning it with no success. I may get charcoal woven band next.

I love the NFC chip.  Not only is it cool , it's also safer . I don't have to grab my wallet and flash my credit or debit around . And merchants don't  see my card number when I use my wrist to pay .

I got a Versa Special Edition for Christmas and my mom got just a plain Versa.  Not only can I use non contact pay with my watch , I can also send quick replies to text messages from my watch.  My mom can't.  But she is a Baby Boomwr and doennt cate about that stuff like I do .

Yes NFC is soooo cool and our State Transport Authority just recently rolled out the ability to pay for train fares with Credit cards which means my fitbit Special Edition can also pay for train rides with the flick of a wrist (literally)!

Yes, the same charger can be used for the versa, versa special edition and the new versa lite.
