I am using a Samsung Galaxy S10e with the Messages app (version 11.0.00.109. I get phone call notices and my steps are tracking within the Fitbit App. However I do not get any message notifications.
I have restarted my Fitbit, resynced the prime within. The app and verified that the app was recently updated. I checked the notices settings on the phone and within the app and all seem to be correct.
Any further suggestions?

@MStivers, I'm sorry for the late response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.
I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it won't receive text notifications. I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.
Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. Finally, monitor the text notifications and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

If all of those steps have been tried - what is the next step?
My husband's Versa 2 is also not receiving texts from his Samsung Galaxy S10e. It receives call notifications, as well as SnapChat & Facebook Messenger.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app, done a factory reset on the device, and still text notifications are not working.

I have Verizon Wireless as my service provider. The S10 comes with the Samsung texting app (the blue conversation bubble icon that is similar to the FB message icon). Mine also had the Verizon texting app (red icon with two conversation bubbles). I actually switched from the Samsung app as my default to the Verizon app as my default. It's been working fine. The downside is that I can't get the pop-up notifications over my lock screen on my phone. Apparently that only works for the Samsung app.

I have the same phone and I had to download textra to be able to read my text messages. The new Note 10 doesn't come with the option to give permission to read messages on other devices. You have to set it as our message default .

If you're using Message+ the option to preview text should be in settings. I'm using Message+ with my Samsung Galaxy S7 and that's where I found it. It may be different for the S10 since mine is an older model phone but the Message+ app is up-to-date.

My fitbit is doing the same thing, and they are not replacing fitbit for this issue, but they want us to sit around and wait to figure it out. I bet if it was an iphone issue i would have been fixed a month ago.
Did you ever get your fitbit to work?

Thank you for the reply. I am now getting a notification that I received a message but I am not able to see who it is from or read the message on my watch.
Any suggestions? I must have some setting set to do this. I want to be able to read the messages.
Thanks.

I have the same issue on my Galaxy s10+. If I select Messages as the default texting app, my Fitbit Versa 2 will not display any notifications. All settings in the app and in the watch are good. Any other 3rd party texting app works fine, also any other apps (WhatsApp, Google Voice, Outlook) work great.
Also when receiving calls, I cannot decline them with a message.

I found something better. Please download message+ and make your text message default.
