Can anyone advise what the fix is to restore the distance and actual route. Currently showing only part routes, straight lines and distances way off. 
yes, I do have it synced to my iPhone while running for the gps coordinates.

I have reinstalled and checked Bluetooth etc but drawing a blank.

Make sure Fitbit is always running in the background.  In Android it's listed as "allow background activity" in settings > battery.  I don't know what that would be for Apple.
