Hi there @94Momofthree3, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that Voice Replies and Alexa features aren't working on your Versa 2. I understand where your concern is coming from, I'll be glad to help you.

In order to receive and respond to messages from your watch, your phone must be nearby with Bluetooth turned on and the Fitbit app running in the background. To use the microphone in Versa 2 to respond to messages, in the Settings app please make sure the Microphone setting is set to Enabled.

The apps that allow you to reply to a message directly from the notification on your Android phone also support quick replies on your Fitbit device. This includes, but isn’t limited to, apps such as:

  • Text messages
  • Twitter
  • Facebook Messenger
  • Line

About Alexa, for more information see: How do I use a voice assistant on my Fitbit smartwatch?. The microphone in your watch only turns on when you’re using a feature that requires your voice, such as a voice assistant. The microphone turns off when the voice assistant responds, when you close the voice assistant, or when your watch’s screen turns off.

For added functionality, install the Amazon Alexa app on your phone. With the app, your watch can access additional Alexa skills. Note that not all skills work with Versa 2, as they must be able to display feedback as text on the watch’s screen. Versa 2 doesn’t have a speaker, so you won’t hear Alexa respond. For more information about Alexa skills, see amazon.com.

Let me know if you need further assistance, I'll be around.

I've followed your guide. Microphone is enabled, Alexa is setup and Fitbit app is on in background. Still Versa 2 sits there "listening". I've never been able to use voice replies or Alexa on this.

Hi there, @Joshua406040. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for following the suggestions I shared in my previous post.

Please bear in mind that your phone must have an internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or a cellular data signal.

  • Keep your phone within 30 feet of your watch.
  • Open the Fitbit app on your phone and sync your watch. The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone for your voice assistant to work.

However, if you've done the above but it was to no avail, the best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

Hope that helps.

Me either. I have followed EVERY thing all of these people have said to do and it listens than says transcription error. So frustrating . Whole reason I bought versa 2 was for Alexa. Needless to say I will prob not ever buy another fitbit. I had the Garmin watch and loved it. Just bought this and doesn't even work.
