I think I just figured it out! If you go into your phone settings. Apps/App permissions, the permissions for microphone was turned off. Mine is working now. Must've been during last update.

I am having the same problem. It worked great and then it didn't work along with Alexa. Phone is in my pocket. Sometimes I recv text , sometimes I don't. I can only reply to text by using the emoji/yes/no
I have rebooted, reinstalled with no results

This works for me but I have to do it everyday!!! The text reply seems to stop working if I use it a lot in a row...I just find this super excessive. My watch is only a few weeks old...makes me feel like I should have returned it...everything else seems to work well...but this is a prominent feature to the watch.. it seems to have a glitch bluetooth...my phone is also brand new so...

Mine does not work for reply to text messages! Alexa will work with other commands but not to respond to text messages. Acts like recording but then goes back to the mic screen to record message again. So my question is there a glitch only for text messages ?? Will it get fixed ?? My watch is less than a month old and didn't have an issue till after I did an update a week ago FITBIT please advice and find a solution !!!!

Hi!!
I'm experiencing this issue as well.
My case number is 41211973.
Tried factory reset, restarting app, restarting watch. Everything is enabled.
I speak into my watch to reply to messages and the dots move like it's heading me then after 25 seconds says transcription error.

I don't know if this will help anyone else but I have to push and hold down on the watch (Versa 2) while talking to get it to 'hear' me. If I just talk, the dot line does not move and does not register my voice.

Thank you soooooo much!! I have tried clearing my cache, un-installed the app, messed with Bluetooth and everything else! This has been the only thing that has worked! I held the side button down till it turned off and when I turned it back on... THE MIC :microphone: WORKS! THANK YOU
