My versa is effectively useless because I can't trust the time on it. It seems if it doesn't auto sync, which happens multiple times on a daily basis, the watch loses time. It's as much as 20 minutes slower than my phone. It's caught me a few times now and I have been majorly late. I have to always check my phone for the time, so what's the point of the watch? It happens even if the watch is fully charged. This is turning out to be the most useless product that I have ever bought! The time doesn't work and I spend more time trying to fix the sync on a daily basis then should be necessary. Wish I had gotten another Garmin instead! Judging by all the other comments/ problems, there are a lot of people who would agree with me! I'm very disappointed.

Nothing has worked for me. I guess it's time to nail the Versa to a post in the town square, along with an explanatory poster.

It is indeed mind boggling that we are almost in 2020 and a goddamn watch cannot keep time. Very frustrating indeed, I tried several resets, even a factory one, and now it refuses to update.

I am trouble with both syncing my watch and the watch keeping time. I have gone through all of the procedures and have not had any success in fixing my problem. I have had the watch for about a year and a half and started having problems with the watch over the last two weeks. Please advise.

Did everything. Took 4 off account than added it again. Reset phone, Bluetooth, Fitbit app. Why did I buy the Fitbit 4??? My Charge 2 worked perfectly. This one works for awhile, then soon as go to sleep loses time. Put it back in charger and it catches up. Today, it's losing time while I've been working all day. Sync is always on.
Now losing 2hrs. What the heck. Ready to return it

Btw, did NOT change clock. Did everything suggested and my Fitbit 4 still losing time. Now during the day; used to be just at night when asleep.

I am experiencing the same problem. Time on watch is incorrect. I've been using same watch face since April 2019 when watch was new. Why would there suddenly be a problem?

Not even Fitbit knows why. Mine was working and one day just developed the
problem. I haven't used my fitbit since.

Mine is doing this, too, even though I’ve tried all the troubleshooting. It’s irritating that this question says “Answered!” at the top when clearly the answer hasn’t helped people. And, like many others, I’m frustrated that my Fitbit can’t even keep time and work as a simple watch anymore. I’m very disappointed.

My watch started losing time after I finally allowed the last update. I've had the Versa since the came out. Never had an issue with it until I finally got around to updating it. Wish I hadn't bothered as it takes a long time to sync and can't keep time. This is the only watch I have found that I do not break out from (nickel allergy). Unfortunately I can not take my phone into the facility I work at, so my Versa can not sync during my shift. The Versa falls behind by at least 20 minutes sometimes well over an hour in a shift even if it was completely charged. Very disappointing. Apparently its time to find a new company that can create a better device.

Same problem here and restarting, performing a factory reset, and using the default clock face didn't help correct the lagging time. In fact, the factory reset was catastrophic. It killed my FitBit Versa Lite. A replacement was sent to me. Same lagging-time issue after about 8 days or so. Now I see here in these discussion threads, that keeping the sync on all day long might be crucial. Might not. Willing to try.
However, it's becoming obvious that this may be a FitBit Versa Lite problem. The simplest explanation, IS the explanation. FitBit Versa Lite Issue. Potentially unique to this model. Therefore, I've begun losing faith in FitBit products. I'll see how things play-out with all day sync.

I hope Fitbit will do something with this problem of most people who purchased this Fitbit watch. It’s their job to solve this problem since everybody is getting frustrated with this issue including me ... very stressful to deal with ... I should have purchased an Apple Watch instead of this Fitbit which is a headache... and Fitbit is not doing anything to solve it !!!!

I keep my sync on ALL Day and still have that issue. VERY frustrating I have only had my watch for 9 months.
SAME situation here. VERY mad.
Agreed So what is the next step to solve this?? Whom do I contact?

My fit bit loses about 10 minutes every 24 hours whether it syncs or not so I can’t rely on it to wake me. I shut down, restart and put on the charger it resets about 10 minutes later. This is EVERY single day now.
Also it often won’t sync so I have to do a factory reset. That’s a real palaver as you have to start from scratch. I’ve had it for 7 months and had to do this at least once a month.
I haven’t changed the clock face and haven’t downloaded anything else onto it (apps or music) is it a duff one or is it just the way they are?
final question - if it’s just the way they are how often is it realistic to do a factory reset?
thank you
