Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app (RESOLVED)

After installing the latest firmware update, whenever I log 8 oz. on my watch, it syncs to my mobile device as 0.27 oz.  Moreover, when I log 4 oz. and 12 oz., it syncs as 0.14 oz. and 0.41 oz., respectively.  There's definitely a bug in there!

Hi there!

I am wondering if a resolution has been found for this yet? 🙂  I just got my fitbit a week or so ago and when I log my water in oz on my watch, it does a similar funky thing as mentioned by others, converting it from 40 oz to 1.4 oz (or other random weird tiny amounts).  I really like the fact that I can log this on my wrist and hope there is a resolution!

Thanks 🙂

It's been over a year with no progress. In fact, it's getting worse with
glitches like you noted. Too late for me to return mine.

Will be leaving a review about this on amazon

Has anyone gotten the update that allows the SP02 sensor? I wonder if that roll out has a fix. Also Ionic Water is a great fitbit app that syncs water logs from watch to phone app really well. First time took a little while but its fast and quick after that. Also Log Weight for anyone having trouble with the weight sync works great as well. These apps will hold me over until the fix comes up. Hope it helps others.

I fixed mine by selling it while it still has some value. I’m done with Fitbit. Gonna try Something else, i have had issues with every Fitbit I or my son has ever had. Not gonna keep trying.

I'm wondering if it's possible to set the Fitbits back to the previous release? Would that be a shortterm fix until they can figure something out?

I have this same issue. Water logged on my Versa 2 device shows up inaccurately in the mobile app. The same issue occurs when I enter weight on the device, it shows up incorrectly in the mobile app. Am I understanding that there is no fix for this?

14 months and still waiting for a fix. And it's not static. It is getting
worse with every new update.

I found if you multiply your fluid oz by 30, it logs it relatively close.

for example, if you drink 12 fluid oz, then on your FitBit Versa, you would enter 360

for 24 fluid oz, you would enter 720.

You could deduce to a closer decimal, but who wants to do all that math? 😉 Just multiply by 3 and add a zero.

it would be nice if the moderator could tell us if this is fixed in the new firmware for O2 monitoring that is rolling out in phases.

Yep.  Simply enter your intake in ml and Versa 2 converts to ounces and immediately sends it back to Versa 2 in ounces.  Slick. Odd but slick.

And fitbit should advertise their watch that way; "It's easy to enter your
water intake, just set your watch to ounces, then convert that in your
head or on a calculator to ml and enter that amount and 50%of the time it
will work. The other 50% it will revert to ounces. Or enter a random
amount (like mine does) or convert whatever amount you enter to zero."
They should be able to sell a lot that way.

This issue is what led me to the community today. Hoping it resolves soon!

I've got a Versa and decided recently that I would be logging my water intake. My watch states that it is in fl but only records entries in ml. So when I enter in 12oz it reads it as .4oz. It also records it on the ap as 0.4oz. Very frustrating that I would need to go back to the app evertime I enter in a water record to either correct it an/or record it. When will there be a fix to this?

When you get the Garmin, I would be interested how it compares to Fitbit’s health functionality (I have the Versa 2).  Given the issues, limitations, and promises, I am also looking at alternatives or supplemental tool.   For discussion, the only one so far that has clearly captured my attention at a higher cost that actually has a shipping product to evaluate is Biostrap (https://biostrap.com/).  Here are some reviews: https://www.google.com/search?q=biostrap+review&oq=biostrap+review&aqs=chrome..69i57.3575j0j1&source...

Thanks,

How disappointing. I just spent $200 on this device and one of the basic functions doesn't work, and your response is "just don't do that then." WTF Fitbit.

I agree! Water intake is a basic and simple fitness goal. They can do sleep tracking and etc from the watch, but not water???!!!🤔
