Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

Fitbit Update: 1/24/19

Hey Versa Fam!

Our team is still investigating these reports for water logs not syncing over to the Fitbit app after logging them on your watch. We appreciate your reports and feedback.

If I receive any new information, I will update this thread so please stay subscribed. Thank you!

I think everyone should go to @JuanJoFitbit
to see all the problems these watches have and the typical solutions that
are offered over and over again.

As a customer I require an estimated date of fix for this bug.

Good luck with that. Fitbit hasn't done a thing about this for 4 months and
counting

@Akdub27 @Fitlark @swiderro @mladreams70 I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'd like you to update your "Today app" on your phones. To do so, please go to "Account", select Versa, then go to "Apps" and if there is an update available, please tap on the little button that says "Update".

Regarding your question, we don't have an estimated date to be hones.

Let me know how it goes after updating the "Today App".

Man does Fitbit need some engineering help. Management help too.

I checked for an update and there were no updates for the today app. I just bought this Fitbit two days ago and was really looking forward to this feature. Unfortunately I think I have to return my Fitbit if they can’t be bothered to fix known problems

This still seems to be a bug. Any update as to when this will be fixed?

As easy as this fix seems to be, I'd say they're never planning on fixing.
It's not the only bug either. The water doesn't show up on the phone and
now my exercise doesn't show up on the watch but does on the phone. Piece
of expensive junk

I agree with what the other members here have been saying - there are NO Fitbit Today app updates at all. So, I have no idea what @JuanJoFitbit is talking about. He/she is obviously mistaken.

I suggest you review the watch wherever you can online. Mine: one star. It
keeps time (when it can sync with my phone)

EDIT: the issue of not updating water counts on the phone until I drill down to the water logging section of the application is still there. I did notice that the watch seems to lag out in the today application when syncing and water is a visible option. I had other info here but it turned out to be inaccurate.

I do not see a Today app specific update but as it was stated there was no guarantee.

I also found that the watch stays in perfect sync with the phone if I disable the all day sync and constant sync options. Even at a range of around 45 ft from my phone, the watch gives me notifications (even through AC lines in the wall!).

@JuanJoFitbit Is there anything that I can provide which will help you narrow down the issue further?

By "constant sync" do you mean the "always stay connected" feature?

I have my Versa since yesterday and I’m getting more and more upset with all the problems 😡

Today I noticed that the watch doesn’t show total log of water. I’ve restarted Versa several times but nothing happened.

Few minutes ago I removed the water log from the Fitbit dashboard on my phone (iPhone X). I closed the app and after few minutes I opened it again. I added the water log and synced the app with Versa. It helped!

Unfortunately, mine still is spotty. Pretty often, have to completely close app, ie swipe out of "history/background", uninstall/reinstall, restart watch, etc.

There hasn't been an update for the Today App in ages, stop giving that as a solution
