My weather app is only working when I am synced and connected to the fitbit app on my phone. Does this app not work over wifi? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

@SunsetRunner Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Adding to @SunsetRunner explanation the Versa itself can't connect directly to your wifi, it uses the phone as a bridge and as explained the information is transferred using wifi and bluetooth. Just keep the weather app open on your Versa and sync with your phone or computer and it will update the data on your tracker.

The Weather App is updated only when a sync takes place with either phone or computer and a sync takes place only via Bluetooth.

I’m having the same problem. My versa is connected to my phone via Bluetooth 24/7 and I have all day sync enabled. Shouldn’t it automatically pull the info from my phone when I open the weather app without me having to manually sync it?

I was able to get it to work with my phone connected to it and it works great! The only thing I couldn't get to work is the weather info to pop up on my watch face that I chose, but that might just be the watch face and not the versa's issue.

I'm having the same issue John9876 - not sure why if it's already setup, it shouldn't all sync at the same time when the app syncs with the watch. Can someone please provide another solution - I have tried having weather app open on my watch and syncing to phone. App is synced but watch doesn't update. I'm connecting to my phone 4G

I was able to get the watch face to update, I deleted and re-downloaded the watch face and made sure my permissions were on. Once synced with my phone over bluetooth it seems to work as long as i'm connected to my phone.

Yep, some sort of crappy bug (not surprised, this Versa hasn't been working great....doesn't sync right, the music transfer system is a nightmare)....disappointed with this purchase in many ways, honestly.

Im having the exact same problem. I even shut my phone all the way off, then back on. Synced fitbit again, weather app open, still shows updated 41 minutes ago!!!

Having the same problem. I can go into the settings for the weather app on my phone that syncs with my fitbit, but I cannot specify the City to use, and the "Current Location" doesn't work.

This didn't work for me. I'm still getting the message "sync the Fitbit mobile app to update". I've tried restarting the versa too .I really regret this purchase. Nothing but constant headaches. The water tracking app almost never works either. Ridiculous. Are there any other solutions??

Watch face temp is still working but my weather app is not. It just keeps saying 'sync' in order for it to work but it never does.

I try syncing my.versa, I tried turning it off, I tried restarting my iPhone. and I tried removing my Fitbit app and putting it back on. The weather app worked for a week and then quit.

My watch is 3 days old and yesterday weather was fine. Today it wont sync even though I've synced my phone repeatedly with weather app open and closed. Also disappointed with a bunch of other things and that it drains my phone so quick! Hope someone can help or else it's going back!

same problem, it used to work couple of weeks ago. I do not have all day sync but Bluetooth and WiFi connected to phone.
