I am experiencing the same priblem with my Versa Lite. I had to factory reset it today because it stopped synching... I thought I would be able to use it again but I can no longer set it up on my phone and neither on my laptop. I think its the bluetooth.

What should I do???

I am here due to the same issue but figured out what Fitbit apparently hasn't realized after several years:  after you factory rest it, you have to set it up AS A NEW DEVICE from within the Fitibit app (both Android & iOS).  I just tried it and it worked.  COMPLETLY unintuitive & pretty stupid, but it worked:

1.  Launch Fitbit app on your phone
2. Tap the button in top left corner of screen

3. Tap "+ Set Up a Device"

4. Select your device model from the list that loads up

5.  Now just follow the rest of the setup wizard.  I recommend putting it on the charger while you do this since it takes awhile for the app to download & install the latest software on the device.

Hello Charles!

Thank you for replying. I have already tried setting up my fitbit again several times. Been trying the last couple of days. That was the very reason why I factory reset it. But sadly it still won't work 😞

I came to this board to find an answer to the same problem for my versa 2. I finally contacted customer service and after going through every single suggestion, the ONE thing that finally worked for me was turning off Bluetooth on my computer and other devices in the room so that only my phone was picking up the signal from the versa 2. That worked like a charm! Let me know if it works for you 🙂

Not one of these recommendations worked for me.  This is SO frustrating.

I tried everything others and you suggested. It will not connect. It keeps saying make sure it's on the charger ( it is ) and than try again. I did about 20 times now. It isn't working

After removing Versa2 from Bluetooth, now Bluetooth can’t find or pair with Versa2

Try holding down the button to power it off (10 seconds). Start the device setup scan and turn it back on and it'll find it. Took me forever to find this answer.

Same for me. Mine was a gift from my granddaughter, worked fine for a while, then stopped syncing, I tried restarting phone, Fitbit, bluetooth, nothing. Then I made the mistake of reading someone fixed theirs by doing a factory reset, big mistake! Now my Fitbit is stuck on the screen telling me to download the AP. I have a Samsung note 9, never had this problem before. Now after taking everyone's bad advise, and seeing every comment here with the same response from tech, I don't trust that anyone has a solution

Thanks Charles! I'm surprised Fitbit Company hasn't done enough to help frustrated users like me and others. 'Charles333' solution works. It should be stated clearly that after Versa 2 factory reset, it will not download app on its own since it doesn't reconnect to Wi-Fi. You must use Fitbit app on the phone to rediscover the Fitbit, follow the screen steps to connect to Wi-Fi to and then it will Download the app from that point. Nowhere in the manual states that, sad. I almost tossed my Fitbit in the trash; Charles solution was on the last Page of this forum. You read the first pages and you can see the frustration of many, you start pulling your own hair off.

You have  by literally given the same answer over and over. Clearly that doesn’t work. Way to get a free paycheck copying and pasting.
